If you mean sick as in manic, the answer is yes. I have not made it to the emergency room but I have been close. My T referred me to my pdoc due to my reaction to SSRIs. She said that my body responded to them like someone with Bipolar Disorder

I have gotten manic from Paxil, Prozac and very hypo from Wellbutrin. I never threw up from the pills that I can remember. I'm glad you went to the ER. Do you live in California? If so, I live in the city next to you

Anti-depressants can cause severe mania in patients with Bipolar type I. Every time I was prescribed anti-depressants before I met my current Pdoc, I would go through excruciating mania. Now with proper treatment I usually have euphoric mania.

And as my Pdoc says; the disorder should be called Tripolar. Because one goes through Depression, Mania, and Rage.

I tested positive for drug induced lupus and sometimes you can get serotonin sickness from meds. Did they switch you to a new drug? Are you doing better now? I live in Fairfield so we are close to each other.

I'm currently on Latuda. I'm doing better. I'm wondering if it was serotonin syndrome or something. ER said it was some kind of virus and I did every test to rule things out. It was the sickest I've ever been.
