I have godawful humor, but hey, at least I make myself laugh. That's one person, right? ...right?

Do you think you have a good sense of humor? I admit mine is bad, but it's important to stay positive!

Do you think your humor is better when you're hypo/manic?

How could it NOT be, what with the exponential increase in all around awesomeness?

Sense of humor, yes, solid. Sometimes goofy, sometimes dark. Way I see it, laugh, or never stop crying, you know? (Besides, humor is my main defense mechanism.)

I've been told I have a dry sense of humor
But when I watch TV I literally lol at everything. When watching TV with my family they think I'm crazy because in their minds it's not funny enough to laugh that hard.
Thanks for this!

Well, that makes two of us

Every time I tell someone "OMG THIS IS HILARIOUS", they're like "are you high?"

This week Amy Schumer's The Knick Junior was freaking hilarious, and I cried a little, but I can't remember following a sitcom in the last 20 years.

Everything about me is bigger when I'm hypo/manic, except my appetite, waistline and sleep requirements.

Ah, yes... I love dark humor.

I was actually reading this thread the other day: https://www.reddit.com/r/AskReddit/c...rk_humor_joke/

I'm a horrible person... but it's good to know that there are other horrible people in this world.

I make myself laugh uncontrollably pretty often. Bystanders don't usually get it and probably think I'm nuts. Technically speaking, they are correct.

My sense of humor isn't for everyone but it's the only one I got so I'm satisfied with it. I love to laugh. I laugh out loud at TV shows all the time.

Heh. Reminds me of a time watching Monty Python (and I'd watched it all a million times already) when they said "these bunches of five" (referring to hand.) and somehow it just HIT.

I laughed HYSTERICALLY for like 10 minutes straight, howling, with tears rolling down my face "Bunches of five! Bunches of five! HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!"

There are things that it doesn't matter how many times I've heard will crack me up. (Again to Python, Cleese's Wap Caplet, for example.)
Thanks for this!

Yes, John Cleese speaks Russian words to Jaime Lee Curtis. And she orgasms. Probably bipolar.

I have a corny, slapstick type of humor. And, often, instead of laughing, I will just remark "that's hilarious" with a smile on my face. HA!

I laugh out loud when reading books. Everyone around looks at me and wonders what's so funny.....then they discretely move away.

My sense of humor is quirky. I usually come up with gags on the fly, especially when I get bored. The synapses start firing.

On Friday, I told my HS class I was in my "Stanley Hudson" phase (The Office) and I would end all of my instructions to them with "and shove it up your butt". I went on to tell them to "take out your books, open to page 232, read the first paragraph, write down your thoughts, and shove it up your butt".

I'll probably get fired on Monday morning. It was a nice run.
