Does anyone know some beautiful and soothing music? Jazz, classical, anything.

In the spirit of giving back I'll post mine if I can think more clearly.

Thanks.

Yes, there is tons of soothing music in videos on YouTube. The Skeezyks often listens to these while here on PC. If you have a YouTube channel, & you begin listening to some of this stuff, what they refer to as your "Home" page will be filled with different suggestions for soothing music of all sorts. Plus you can subscribe to channels that have uploaded videos containing various types of soothing music. It's a veritable gold mine!

Tbh, I'm a total weirdo. I find angry music both beautiful and soothing.

If you want soft rock, you're looking at Jack Johnson, Jason Mraz, John Mayer.

Thanks for the links. Appreciated.

Please anyone who knows any classical or jazz music, specific songs, post them. Sorry for being a bit of a snob. I'm actually really not. Just when it comes to aesthetics.

I like Beautiful People by Melanie and also just listened to the Forrest Gump theme. See: it's not all that bad. I find Layla performed by Clapton and Marsalis very soothing. And the Jazz (yes Jazz: it's the closest to God you'll maybe ever get) adaptions by the Jacques Loussier Trio of the 7th symphony of Beethoven's.

I must be a weirdo too...I also find angry music both beautiful and soothing lol...I'm a huge Metalhead.

But as far as soothing music goes I love, love, love Tori Amos. Her song 'Bells For Her' is my go to song when I have panic attacks:

There's an Icelandic singer named Emíliana Torrini that I enjoy:

Also Bjork

A retro Swedish rock band called Graveyard:

One of my all time favorite bands is Clutch. They have some ballads that are incredibly soothing. Singer Neil Fallon's voice is like butter.

That might not be so strange. But I never tried it. I did use it as "therapy" as a child though. Weird.

I also find songs about loss (any kind) soothing. I lost myself young, so it's nice. Especially one beautiful song that is about delusions and loss: "The Great Pretender", by The Platters. My life in 3 minutes.

Another one about suicide ideation and loneliness is "Alone Again, Naturally" by Gilbert O'Sullivan: "In a little while from now / if I'm not feeling any less sour / I promised myself to treat myself and visit a nearby tower / And climbing to the top, will throw myself off". That's soothing. It's dark, funny, unexpected.

One word: psytrance. Preferabli Israeli.

A nation that is always on the brink and has missiles constantly shot at them dances to this to forget... no way, it's gonna be bad.

(try: Infected Mushroom, Astral Projection, Astrix, Skazi, Vibe Tribe).

It's not typical "soothing" soft music, but it has helped me ever so much.

A perfect sad song about loss is "Lonely Enough" by Little Big Town. It will bring you to tears when you need a good cry.

For soothing jazz, I love Diana Krall's music and her voice. Very relaxing. Soothing music
