PC Bipolar Forum is better than....

1. Facebook

2. My former best friend's "support" :-P

3. My therapist

4. Talking to my husband about everything (he just can't handle all my crazy complaints and rants)

How do you feel about PC Bipolar Forum? Do you find that it is so much better than the other means of social connection and emotional support?

I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!!

I love this forum. It's so awesome to be able to get stuff off my chest and actually talk about things that have bothered and confused me for so long.

PC is better than keeping all of this stuff to myself because I don't want to confuse or upset people who don't understand... i.e. most of the people in my life.

And you guys have been so cool and super welcoming. I'm so grateful!

I owe my "sanity" to this forum. Gave me something to live for while I was in my darkest depression.
No way to repay. I truly have wet eyes right now. I wish I could cry, but this is as close as is going to get.
THANK YOU Dr John. And THANK YOU to ALL of the ones that helped me.

It's the best support group I've found and it conveniently meets in my house daily. Parking is never an issue and the price is right. Plus the people are the best.
Thanks for this!

I have to agree it's the best support group ever! It meets 24/7. I don't post a whole lot but I'm here checking the board several times a day

So far it's better than DBSA because I can back off when I need to. DBSA has its moments where I am dealing with someone who triggers me, and that's the major drawback to meatspace meetings. I consider it an opportunity for a lesson, but the online forum helps because I can approach it on my terms and connect with people who are dealing with the same fears and hopes.

I'm sorry to say that after the good that NAMI meetings did for me, it came to a point that I was absorbing other people's problems.
There were several people doing better than I am right now, however, when I was healthy enough, I quitted. If I get 100% crazy again, I will pay a visit or two. I owe them, only I'm not in condition to pay right now.

All of the above, plus...it's better than Portillos chocolate cake. That's saying a lot coming from me.

I was just looking into my local DBSA chapter for meetings. These things are hard for me, especially right now with a brand new diagnosis just within the last 2-3 weeks. I'll at least check it out.

It's better than the RL meetings I went to. One turned into a religious fest and I couldn't keep my eyes open for the other. At least here I can come in whenever and read and post.
