Do you like to create your own safe little bubble? Do you ignore the news and politics? Do you keep scrolling past negative stuff on your newsfeed on Facebook or other social media?

All the negativity in the world is overwhelming. I like to live in my own little bubble.

I read a lot of crap, but it's mostly for entertainment. I never take it seriously.

Reddit is pretty good for that. People post news articles, then make fun of them for their stupidity and negativity. It's just a different way to look at the negatives without getting bothered by them
Thanks for this!

I guess I'm just really sensitive. It's a self-preservation thing, and it works pretty well.

No worries. Everyone copes differently. My way to cope is to find humor in everything, and your way to cope is to create a bubble.

I just get a little sick of the US presidential election crap. I tend to ignore all that.
Thanks for this!

I ignore Facebook for a few days when things get too crazy, and I stay away from the news. I'll check the news maybe every couple of days just to make sure the world is still turning. So yeah, I create a bubble temporarily.

I definitely live in my own little bubble.

Well... maybe it's more that I ignore news that doesn't pertain to my own little part of the world.

I live in a bubble too, what's allowed in and what's forbidden, changes along with my needs.

Yes, its because I'm super sensitive / empathic, without my bubble I'm as raw as an exposed nerve.

I love living in my own bubble, it keeps my mood stable to be honest. Its so weird because I used to be an avid follower of current events, news and politics in high school, people used to even tease me for being such a nerd but now I can't even bear the thought of watching the news because its so depressing.

Yeah, I stay locked up in my house and just think all day. I think about nothing and everything and avoid stuff which causes anxiety or discomfort. I need to break out of my comfort zone but I'm losing hope that it's possible for. I think I'm eternally screwed in regards to rejoining the real world.

I often avoids the news and things like that when I get stressed out. I've been trying to pull back from social media too because there's so much drama and it causes me a lot of anxiety. It's hard for me to not look at it everyday though because it's my main link to friends and family back in the states.

I avoid the news like the plague. I'm really sensitive. If i'm out in a cafe and there's headlines bleating at me from a paper at a vacant table next to me i'll turn the paper over. I've even stopped watching "Late Night with Seth Meyers" because the American election news is too unpleasant.
