Being told that every symptom needs to be medicated away. Some mood swings are normal, and I prefer not to take meds that make me flatline with respect to my moods.

I'm displeased with how much therapy and meds help. like this is the best they can do for us to make our lives tolerable. even with meds and therapy the majority of feeling good comes down to you, and when your brain works against you constantly working diligently to get better isn't always that easy.

There's too many Psychiatrists out there who do not spend adequate time with a patient, do not ask hardly any questions, and do not provide enough education or monitoring of medications. Also, the lack of coverage if a pdoc goes away. I've been left hanging when I've had medication side effects and concerns with symptoms, and my pdoc had nobody I could talk to. Needless to say, I found a new pdoc. Also, the cost of care is problematic and finding good quality doctors who accept in-network insurance can be difficult, from my personal experience.
