By drink I mean alcohol. Does your combination of meds prevent you from drinking?

I used to drink like a fish. Loved my beers. Then I started getting too sick if I drink. A few years ago I drank too much and became severely suicidal and was hospitalized. I was so ashamed and embarrassed that I stopped drinking for a few years. I tried drinking a little last night and instantly started vomiting. My days of drinking are officially over.

Only like 1/4 glass wine every now and then. I find any more than that affects my serotonin (my guess?) because I'm really moody the next day. I've been mostly alcohol free for several years now. I'm weaning off Latuda right now, so I may see if I can have ONE glass of wine with the Abilify, but I'm not supposed to drink with that one, either, I don't think. :-/ It's too bad because I LOVE wine and would love to do wine tastings.

I drink a few beers occasionally. Doesn't seem to effect me, but then I don't drink to get drunk.

Nope, almost 16 months sober. I drank on my meds for months and didn't care one bit.

If I could afford it, I would have cheap wine and / or wine coolers nearly every day.

Hard liquor does nothing for me, I don't like beer. I have had mild problems with alcohol in my life, alcoholism runs in the family - I probably have had problems with alcohol that I have never worked on.

I drink the equivalent of less then 1 glass of wine every 2 months because I can't afford it.

No, I used to drink, I never knew my limit on hard alcohol and wine made me depressed the next day. It's better for me to not drink.

My combination of meds all indicate that alcohol will affect me more -- and it does, when I have a drink. I never have more than two and can get quite intoxicated on two... heck, I feel it with only one.

I will have a beer with dinner or a drink before dinner every so often. It's part of a meal and socialization. I also cook with wine and will enjoy a glass before bed sometimes.

A nice cab sav blend every now and then. Not a huge fan of beer. And after coping with substance abuse for years, it's best to steal clear of hard liquor. But my mes don't seem to be bothered. Plus all those antioxidants can't hurt too much!

I drink. I have crazy good tolerance and metabolism for alcohol. Hardly ever get handovers.

I used to be a hard core alcoholic and quit for 7 years. After that I drank about once or twice a year. Now however, whenever I drink I have a seizure and seriously hurt myself, the last time being about a month ago when I broke my hip and collarbone, so hopefully never again.

I still drink but not to get drunk. I have never abused alcohol thankfully.
I am not a big fan of beer but I really like Corona with lime, I will drink
two every now and then but thats about all the beer I drink.
I love Bourbon and also Rum but again I don't abuse them.
I love a small glass of either one in the evening just to relax.
I do notice that my meds make me feel the effects of the hard stuff a lot more
but I don't feel any effects when I drink a couple of beers.

I drink but rarely get falling down drunk. Recently I've been drinking a small bottle of wine on the weekend. It gets me tipsy but not slurring my words drunk and no hangover. The last time I drank heavily was my for birthday on April 2.

I also don't drink heavily because I get very tired and just want to go to sleep. If I'm out I feel like a party pooper. I drank at a concert a month ago and even though I only had a little it made me want to sleep so I sat in my seat and dozed lol. My friend made fun of me :-D but that's me, super boring.

I don't know about interactions with meds, I'm sure I'm not supposed to drink on them but I don't care.

I don't drink much. I might have a drink or two here and there, but I'm not a regular drinker. I probably drink maybe 2 alcoholic beverages a month. Maybe slightly more in the summer and on holidays. I don't like the feeling of being drunk.

When I was under 21 though, I drank a lot. Like 3-5 a day.

Lamictal eased the depression and anxiety I had with hangovers, so it actually made drinking easier for me. After a while, though, I didn't have hangovers anymore because I drank 24/7.

I quit because I had enough of being an idiot. I've lived 20 lives as a drunk and have nothing more to do or prove. It makes me angry even thinking about all the time that was lost.

Occasionally I'll have one or two drinks. I've never abused alcohol and even though I'm not supposed to drink with meds I have not experienced adverse effects from one or two drinks.

I do drink, but I try my best to be careful as to when and how much. Thankfully most of my meds are only taken in the morning, so they don't affect me as much later in the day.

Never. I believe the meds don't work as they should when one adds alcohol into the mix. It took so long to get stable that I will be damned if I will risk it for a drink.
