I went in for ECT yesterday and the doc decided to go with bilateral, something we hadn't been doing because it leaves me so very confused.

Anyhow, bilateral ECT, very little confusion, feeling much better than the weekend.

Bilateral is the only kind that works for me. It causes severe memory loss but oh well. I'd rather want to live and not remember stuff than be stuck visualizing my suicide constantly. I hope it continues to work for you!

Yeah, ECT is the only thing that's worked for me and now our medical benefits are at risk of being cut at the end of this month. I don't know what to do. Bilateral zombified me, but unilateral didn't seem to do quite enough. Now it looks as if I'll not be getting either.

Bilateral ECT only impacted my memory around the treatment but it impacted it significantly. I forgot everything. But within a few weeks I was back to normal. Problem was it didn't work for me. I am so glad it seems to be working for you. It can be a miracle treatment.
