Hi, do you sometimes notice a much more difficult time being patient about certain things due to the anxiety and agitation that Bipolar can cause? Or if you have any other triggers to share related to this?

I get super nervous with text messages for some reason. If someone takes hours to get back to me (even within the first half hour, I start thinking something is wrong). It's like I instantly have to have the answers to everything or confirmation that everything is "under control" in my relationships, etc.

Sometimes I feel like a prisoner in my own head because of it! I think that not having instant gratification or when my expectations aren't met within a certain time frame, it causes me to get very distressed, making my symptoms worse. Can anyone relate?

The Skeezyks has no tolerance for anyone getting in his way or distracting him from whatever it is he happens to be doing at the moment... Presumably this is caused by the high levels of anxiety he carries around 24/7...

I can relate. I need to know now!lol. I'm also dealing with ocd, and it gets way worse when I'm anxious.

I used to be very high strung before I was medicated. Not always but during episodes. It was an horrible feeling. Maybe try some deep breathing. Sorry you're struggling with this.

Yep. I've actually been quite irritated this past week. It seems the littlest things will send me into a tizzy. I hate it, but I feel I can't control it at times either.

I've been irritable too. I'm chalking up to med change glitches. I think I'll level out soon.

my patience disappears when in an episode. Everyone goes too slow. I find it unbearable. The agitation is hell too. I cannot sit or stand still so I pace and pace. Meditation is impossible as my thoughts race too fast and I can't lie/sit still. The best thing is activity and distraction.

I feel like people are moving too slowly. Especially when someone is explaining something to me. I want to cut them off and say, "I get it already, move on"! I also tend to think people walk too slowly and I get irritated, for example, when they block the entire aisle at the grocery store. Grumpy Energizer Bunny.

I can relate, I'll get irritated over anything some days, and if things like phone calls or texts take too long to respond back, I get really irritated and impatient. That's what I can think of off the top of my head.
