Every medication has a list of possible side effects, but sometimes you might get a weird or embarrassing side effect not listed on the medication. Or, you might get weird/embarrassing side effect that *is* listed on the medication.
  1. Do your BP meds give you any weird side effects?
  2. Do your BP meds give you any embarrassing side effects?

Remember, we're all anonymous, so it shouldn't matter.

When I first started Lamictal, I couldn't take a s***. I can take a s*** now, though. It just took about a week.
Thanks for this!

Risperdal or Latuda caused my privates to itch terribly. Then it turned into a full on rash all over but for days before the rash developed I was running around screaming about my itchy butthole. When I went to the ER with my rash I kept saying "my butthole itches, you don't understand!" It was embarrassing.

The weirdest would have to be the constipation on both Lamictal and Abilify when I first started them.

Most embarrassing would have to be the constant hunger from the Abilify, and idk which one is causing my hair to fall out in clumps Everytime I shower.

Excessive sweating has been the worst- not sure which of the lovely new meds is causing it, but it's not cute.

I have learned that I can't eat soup in public thanks to my hand tremors. Otherwise I wind up spilling half of it down the front of my shirt.

An erection that lasted about 3 hours, even after sex and a cold shower.
I don't remember which med caused it but klonopin stopped it.

When I was on Paxil, I was notorious for stopping up toilets due to constipation. I was still in college and living with my parents. One time my dad had to unscrew the toilet, and take it out in the backyard to get the poop out. UGH. I'm still embarrassed about that!! Also, I'm amused about it. HAHAHAHA!

Lithium gave me an rash all over my body. It was not funny.. Geodon, rispedal, latuda, Zoloft, zanax... many more. Night terrors. Nothing about these were funny. Forgetfulness..

I had a movement disorder on geodon where my tongue flicked in and out of my mouth and it looked like I was chewing. At the time I worked for a contract staffing company and my reviews had been great to date. A few people noticing those movements and my huge pupils from meds and genetics and I was asked to leave and never come back. They didn't care that we explained or offered drug testing, they didn't like how it looked and that was it. I felt like a total freak. \\

(I also have the constipation from hell.. Since starting clozaril I'm lucky to go every 2 weeks. We're messing with meds that give me severe diarrhea instead or don't work. But my antibiotic has been so bad with diarrhea that I'm on immodium and the pink nasty stuff. Ick).

Damn! I thought my constipation was bad!

I remember the first s*** I took after Lamictal's constipation effects wore off. It was big, but not THAT big. lol

I don't recall stopping up the toilet, but to be fair, I went to the top floor of my building and took a s*** in the handicapped bathroom. (Single restroom.) So I can't really say for sure if the toilet was clogged or not, but I'm sure the cleaning ladies knew

The 4th floor handicapped bathroom is where everyone goes to take a s***
Thanks for this!

When I was on Risperdal, I had to break my stool up with a stick to get it to flush, and it would still clog the toilet half the time. I felt like I needed to be air lifted to the hospital when I'd try to poop. It hurt so bad, I was sure it would need to be removed via surgery and when I was finished, I'd need a heating pad and nap. Constipation is serious business!!

Going ON zoloft never gave me any problems (except hand tremors), but one day I decided to quit my meds cold turkey and I had diarrhea for a WHOLE ****ING MONTH! Plus a migraine that lasted five days straight.
