I wish I could answer this, but I'm too far from genuine happiness to be able to identify any.

When my husband is happy. When I have a good day at work and I feel like I'm making a difference. When I'm able to help a friend or make a friend happy. When I am dancing or singing a song and I'm really into it. When I feel a deep connection to a friend and enjoy time spent with them. Intimacy with my husband. Dressing up, doing my makeup, and going to a nice restaurant (it always makes me feel so pampered and glamorous). Eating or drinking something decadent. When I exercise several days in a row and get good sleep, too. When I read or watch something that just makes me feel so connected to the beauty of life. When I pray and I feel connected to God. When I'm laughing.

When I'm so engrossed in something that I'm able to lift out of my own head. Doesn't really matter what it is... A good book, work, a puzzle, cleaning. Anytime I'm able to stop my mind from spinning on the same things, I am much happier.

My daughter and my boyfriend. My Maine Coon cats. Reading books.

I'm also a happy person by nature. I smile and laugh easily.

I'm happy when I spend time with my kids.
I am happy with my GF.
I am happy when I am fishing.
I am happy when I get past my writers block and the creativity just pours out.

When my family is all together and laughing, I do not think life could get better than those moments. Assuming I'm not depressed at the time.
Thanks for this!

Being well, not depressed and broody. Right now I am finally well after 8 months and I feel so happy I cannot stop smiling. In fact I don't think I have been this happy without being hypomanic for years.

There are things that bring some happiness to my life, but it's been a while when I could say I've been "happy" overall. Probably because of too many life changes. That being said, things aren't so bad right now, but the anxiety is affecting my ability to be happy.

Things that usually make me happy: traveling somewhere peaceful, when someone I feel deeply about shows me affection/or makes me feel special, comfort food (like chocolate!), doing things to take care of myself, reading, jacuzzis and pools, family time in small doses, true-blue friends, going out to eat, lazy days here and there, when someone or something makes me laugh or smile
