Well I drank too much last night either 3-4 strong pints can't remember how many...at whole foods playing trivia.Europe trip coming up, hypomania insuing...., so much for moderation, oh well...
When I drink like that I eat/snack. They have the best Chantily berry cake. It is so good! and then came home and watched x-files and snacked on pretzles and then cereal snack left over from christmas, thanks mom! It was delicious!

I was a bit hypomanic this past week. I bought over 350 little bottles of nail polish they were clearancing/ dicontinued that I use for my business. so I am set for years with polish. Hopefully they will still be good. In 2 days I went to 4 stores and cleaned them out of oranges, pinks and other colors that I will eventually use. Hind sight...I should not have bought so many oranges....sigh
Though eventually I will have to buy bigger bottles and carry fewer of them and they are more expensive and I can only carry so many of them, take up more space etc.
AND I HATE CHANGE!!!!
so I put off change for a long while.....Europe trip coming up, hypomania insuing....

I also wrapped white duct tape all around my inner bag support that was awful looking. I was embarrassed by the way it looked. That took some doing and it needed to be done.
It looks so good now.Europe trip coming up, hypomania insuing....

I work today, only 3 clients so that is good.
It was a light week which is not good.

I have to rethink my clothes for the trip. may need to pack some warmer clothing items...it is cooler in paris than italy and raining quite a bit next week via the weather channel. I think I will bring a rain coat after all. I have a tiny umbrella that I am bringing too.

I need to ask the bank if I could get a new debit card with a chip so that I can use it while we are gone, I think it needs to have a chip and mine doesn't have one.Europe trip coming up, hypomania insuing....

I called my pdoc about something to sleep on the airplane, she said to take half of the zyprexa that I already have as an emergency med in case I get manic on the trip. She said to go with the flow and stop organizing so much because she did not want me going manic before the trip!
I did not tell her about the 350 bottles of polish....

Have a good weekend my friends.
I mailed my nieces birthday card early because I remembered it this morning and did not want to forget it which I have done in the past. So that was good.

Bizi, it all sounds proactive to me! And to see such a bargain well we all are suseptible to that! LOL... i do the same with fabric.. At one time i had over eight 66 quart containers of fabric by the yard!!! i got it down now to about two containers. I make quilts so it goes rather quickly. I am happy for you and your trip. It sounds wonderful. Just think about the wonderful time you will have. Blessings!
Thanks for this!

Thanks so much for your reply! I hope that you have a nice weekend!
I have only quilted once in my life, a small pillow, it was a kit. Took for ever! but was appreciated by my mother when I gave it to her.

It's been quite warm in Europe! I live way further north up in Sweden and we've been having very warm weather. A light jacket should do the trick in case it gets chilly at night or something. I hope you have fun!

Sounds like you've been very proactive which is good before a big trip!

Holy nail polish batman! That is a lot of little bottles. It sounds like you are thinking ahead. What fun it would be to go to Paris! Enjoy and keep us posted on how you are doing.

The good thing about little bottles of nail polish is that as you use them up you can replace them with souvenirs.

Thanks nammu.
my friend is a forum friend.
Kay and I have been forum friends at neurotalk the sister forum that psych central hosted for many years until just recently when we are now independent.
Neurotalk's bipolar forum is much smaller. There are but a handful of active members, so it is easy to get to know each other.
Some of us have posted for over 15 years!

WE leave 2 weeks from today.
Not ready, don't have our new credit cards with chips yet.
We need to order money, that takes a few days.
I think that I am packed adequately.
Hubby has yet to pack anything which makes me nervous. I bought him a travel umbrella the other day.
It will be cooler in paris(50-60's) than italy(60-75). I am bringing one sweater/cardigan to wear over all of my short sleeve tops. Maybe I need to rethink this....

I just looked at the weather forecast for rome the day we arrive:
....90% chance of thunderstorms and that is the day we do our outdoor walking tour of the collesium....The program site says it happens rain or shine.
Oh well, it is what it is.....
sigh
and of course the flooding in paris....
I bought the water proof hiking shoes and a new rain jacket with a visor to keep the rain off of my glasses, and new socks.
very expensive!
oh well.
taking a much needed shower tomorrow!!!!!.
still have a few items to get.
run to office depot to pick up the itinerary that I left in the copy machine, I sent it to my folks so they could follow along if they want to do that.
Need to do some billing for work and balance the check book.
Maybe move money around....pick up Rx's.
Jeff picked up the euros today...pretty money.
exchange rate is good 1 euro =$1.16 so we won't have too hard of a time figuring that out.
I bought some lara bars for snacks. dense bars....and some gum because I chew that alot and it helps keep me from getting thirsty. I will try to limit my fluid intake due to the lack of bathrooms there.
oh and I forgot, I have 2 loads of laundry to do, my uniforms so that they will be done when I get back home.

You've got extra meds you can take, so I suspect you will be just fine. You can always call your pdoc if you get "off."

Vacations (big ones) usually throw me for a loop, but I don't usually get manic, I usually get obsessive. Having extra Xanax to take helps me with that.

Have a great time!

Have fun in Europe bizi!

Don't suppose you'd be willing to give me one of those bottles of nail polish? Red or purple preferably? I can't find mine and really want to paint my toe nails. lol.

Keep taking your zyprexa and hopefully you will be fine. I really don't think hypo is bad, as long as it doesn't progress and turn awful in the end.

Big hugs!

I will only take the zyprexa if I get manic....I have it as an emergency med in case I need it. I take geodon 80mg twice a day already to keep me sane!
But I was also instructed to take7.5mg half of a zyprexa before flying and try to sleep on the airplane. It is a 10 hour flight. We arrive in rome thursday at 10am. So I hope I can sleep. I bought today an inflatable neck pillow. I love it! I have neck issues so my client suggested I get one. Deflated it is the size of a soda can and fits in my fanny pack. I am not carrying a purse. My fanny pack is bursting at the seams! The neck pillow and rome travel book will come out once we get there, so I will have some room for little souvenirs....key word being little.

Our ride comes at 8:30am hope I sleep tonight!

I'll take an orange, bizi, as long as it's not pastel orange. lol.

Ten hours on a plane? Oh my god I'd sedate myself. I can't handle traveling and sitting in little confined spaces. Especially on long car rides. After about an hour I start eating my seat. haha! Your neck pillow sounds comfy. I hope you'll be able to sleep!

Well I am finished packing for the most part.
We went out for dinner tonight at bonefish grill. It was very good. I had 3 dirty martinis. they were very good!
I always get the same dish.
lilys chicken:
chicken breast fileted topped with spinach and artichok and goat cheese and lemon butter. YUMM!!!

I talked to my twin this evening for 90 minutes! it was good to talk to her about her girls etc. I am glad that I had finished packing so I could spend that time on the phone with her.
I am sitting here in my jammies....
our ride comes at 8:30 am, I woke up at 6am this morning so am tired and yawning. Need to stay up or I will be awake at an ungodly hour.

I had lunch with a girl friend of mine: paula.
We ate at sandras health food store.
I had chicken schwarma and lentil rice and collard greens and apple cake for desert. she had spinach and lentil soup and tabbouli.
very good.
Got up at 6am and I had the day off so finished up last minute things.
I did 2 loads of laundry, finished billing for the month, charting new clients, filing etc. Then took a much needed shower. So that was a feat!
This evening finished packing my fanny pack and it is stuffed full had to let the belt out. My sister suggested moist wet ones, so we went to target.
Jeff also did not realize that his toiletry items needed to be in 3oz containers so we picked some up at target too.
I could not find a mirror there so unfortunately will not get to view the sistine chapel with a mirror as suggested. My neck will just get tired from looking up.
bizi Who will not have internet access....will miss you guys.

Today is the last day of the month.
Traveling, eating, drinking at free will has contributed to my weight gain.
I have gained over 20 pounds since november.
Time to get serious and reel it in. I have the dreaded beer belly and rolls of fat over my scrub pants which are way too tight!
sigh
I bought these new scrubs at my lower weight.
and took all of my old ones to the good will.
I have quite alot of beer in the fridge so will finish that and think about dieting after the 4th of july festivities.
I worked last weekend and will work this weekend, and the next two satudays after that to finally get caught up from being gone 2 weeks.
Thank goodness I love my job!
Have a great day!

Hi Bizi,

What a great picture of you and hubby!
I love it!

I have seen you do an amazing job taking off, controlling, your weight!
I know this last month was more stressful, yet what fun, eh?

I know you will take any weight back off!
I have seen you do it over and over.
In fact, you and another friend of ours have been such an inspiration to me and to many others. I took off 20 while you were preparing for your trip and were away. I didn't mean for you to find it, Lol.

I am so glad you and hubby were able to just let yourselves enjoy all you could, including food! Yum!

I love hearing about the meals you make at home, as well as the fantastic meals you eat while out. I love chicken schwarma and lentil soup and more.... yummy! I usually have to travel for 3 hours or more to enjoy Lebanese food!
I go with a group, we ask the chef to make up his best dishes and serve them family style to the whole group. I taste his recipes and take notes. I go home and try to recreate the recipes. May sound tedious? I enjoy it though!

I'll stop here. I am so excited to catch up with you, I could ramble too long.
So happy to "see" you!
