What does your diet normally consist of? As we all know, diet is important for BP because of the nature of the disorder, as well as medication side effects.

Btw, I hope this thread makes everyone analyze their diet!

Me:
Pasta (red sauce only; no cheese), pizza (rarely), sandwiches, wheat grains (lentils, brown rice, wheat bread, etc), some veggies (like edamame). Also like apples.

Very rarely do I eat fried food. I'm not a vegetarian, but I don't really eat much meat. Sometimes I get Chinese takeout.

I sometimes eat a lot of gummy candies...

In posting this, I could probably eat less grilled cheeses and less candy.

White rice with something else in the plate. Preferably roasted pork. Could be thin steak too.
Black beans are always welcome. So are fried plantains or yuca.
Chicken is of last resort.
Special occasions demand seafood. More big shrimp than lobster. But paella is ok too.
See what you did?. I'm hungry already. and is only 12:05PM here. Hope you're proud of yourself.

Ah, that really sucks! Is it a bad allergic reaction, like anaphylaxis?

I eat terrible. Yesterday, all I ate were 2 large bags of airhead extreme rainbow bites and a large rice crispie treat. The day before, I ate a half a sandwich, and ice cream and lots of whipped cream. I get lots of my food from the 7-11 down the street from my house. That cannot be healthy living.
Thanks for this!

It just knocks me out for a few hours. Couldn't stay awake if my life depended on it.

Now is a good time to ask how can I type in Spanish. I need accents and stuff, like you guys.
Blue types in Spanish too. Is it a keyboard, a program or what.
I'm tired of wishing people feliz ano nuevo.

hahahahaahahhaahhaah.

I'm on a Mac. The keyboard commands are different to PC. Mostly you use the alt/option key with the E (for español). That gives you the accent. Then you type the letter you want the accent over.

For the ñ, it's alt/option with N.

This cracks me up! I was exactly like this during my first ever mania. I lost a ton of weight though because I only ate once a day from the convenience store. It was only to keep me fueled for my creative projects(like making full wall broken glass murals) and adventures(like driving across the country in the middle of the night)
My go to was guacamole lays and snickers ice cream. I ate them together on the floor in my closet while turning out page after page of some political expose I thought I was writing.

Yeah, I feel you. I used to do that all the time when I was in college. Junk food is too easily accessible -- and all too delicious, might I add.

I'm stable now but I've been too physically sick to shop or cook. Convenience foods are convenient but probably adding to my sickness. I need to change my ways. I used to eat VERY healthy most of the time. I need to get back to that.

Sorry that you've been so sick. I know you've been through a lot with all of those medication-induced allergies.

What do you normally eat when you eat healthy?

Boneless skinless chicken, lots of veggies. Stir fry, lots of crockpot dishes, soups, stews, beans of all kinds. Sometimes I cannot stomach meat so I do protein shakes with lots of fresh fruit and veggies. Fruit and veggie smoothies. Healthy sandwiches, etc

No worries, I make fun of myself about it to. When I told the trainer I eat badly, he was like "it can't be all that bad". Then I started listing off my typical 7-11 diet and he busted up and said "I guess it is". Then he said "you are getting convenience foods because you are sick and it's convenient. I was like "well duh, I'm not doing it for my health". Lol
Thanks for this!

I have no regular diet. That's hard for me to do.

I do eat bananas for potassium and an organic yogurt called Oh My Yog regularly.

I just ate some peanut M&M's lol

I don't eat much fast food, very rarely. I don't care for red meat - just don't like it. No cow for me lol

Lots of Diet Coke.

Please don't lecture me on my diet. Thanks.

I'm kidding.

I don't care for red meat either. Not my thing. If anything, I'll eat chicken and turkey; that's about it. No duck, pork, etc.

Ugh my diet is awful. I eat so much junk. Mostly because I eat out a lot. I really have to pull it together. I'm good at not snacking too much. Like I eat chips and salsa before bed most nights but I don't chow down on potato chips or Doritos or anything like that. But I do eat fast food a lot I am a French fry addict, I have them at least every other day. I'm really beating myself up for it today because I did so bad these last two days. I just, I have a plan, and then I get hungry, and I. Like come on, McDonald's won't hurt just this once, except it's never just this once!

I have the means to eat healthier, I just have to commit to it. Easier said than done!

coffee with cream & sugar, almond & coconut milk, energy bars, toast with apples and cheese, salads, beans & rice, stir fry, PASTA, and more pasta. I try not to eat too much fried chicken and ice cream, but it's hard

Yep. I basically eat bad for a day, feel guilty and eat very minimally the next day, then 'treat' myself for being 'good' the day after that.

I have an awful diet. I eat everything that's bad for me and few healthy foods, except for lean white meat chicken and lots of fish. I love fried foods and sweets of every kind; veggies, not so much. I could never be a vegetarian anyway---I like my burgers and filet mignon!
