Well, since Prism Bunny mentioned 4th of July is coming up... What are y'all doing for the 4th of July?

I'm not doing anything special. I'm just staying at home and relaxing because I don't celebrate 4th of July. I simply celebrate having the day off from work. lol.
Thanks for this!

I'll probably take the day off work, but I don't know if we'll go watch fireworks. That depends on what the family wants. Like you, Blue, I wouldn't bother.

Yep! On the 3rd I am eating out with family and on the 4th I am going downtown to watch a film and enjoy all that my hometown has to offer.

I am of something fun, like The Secret Life of Pets. Usually, I go for more serious films during winter.

Have a box of bird bangers. Had it for many years.
They don't fly, but are very loud. Have roll of fuse too.
Problem is to put them together. Without losing a piri hand. Help!!!.

Hi blue, There are usually amazing fireworks displays in your "general area."
I used to attend. Such fun!

What are your 4th plans?
I see a client this morning then lunch with Jeff at chris's po boys for some chicken and sausage gumbo( not gumbo weather but it is cool in there and it is so good we eat it all year round here!)
then hair appointment at 1pm then another client at 4 or so.

Tomorrow have 2 clients at 1;30 so we will still get to eat brunch at the hub city diner before hand.

Off monday and will travel to a little town about 40 minutes from our house called Erath. They have a nice fireworks display and few rides for the kids. There will be music, this will be the 3rd year in a row to go there.
Last year jeff was able to find some beer there that he liked at a bar. The owner had some IPA beer that she had bought for her son but was willing to sell it to jeff. Her poor son!

We did terrible at trivia last night! But still had fun.
Split a pizza which is always yummy... and also shared some sushi that I just had a hankering for.

Happy weekend all!

Plan to stay home...maybe get a redbox movie and have a beer.....mayb even buy dogs and potato salad. There one less than a mile away that I might be able to reach without a lot of traffic. Even though firecrackers are now illegal in my city there's no problem buying them so I'll be able to hear them...if I go out on the balcony I'll probably be able to see some.

I thought you just said for the 4th of July you would be buying your dogs some potato salad. I had to go back and read it again.

So, everyone, let's all celebrate this 4th of July traditionally and buy our dogs potato salad!

I wish I could. I have a lot of good memories of doing moves with friends, packing or unpacking the truck.

I was going to make a smart comment about shooting fireworks out of my butt, but it's been done...many, many times apparently. YouTube has many clips of idiots doing this.

I decided against taking my son to the fireworks, Mainly because they didn't start until 9:30 and I didn't know how I'd entertain him in the park until then. I can hear a bunch of fireworks going off now, and my neighbor's set off some bottle rockets earlier. That brings back good memories. My father would always go down to Virginia (nj bans fireworks and pa won't sell them to nj residents) and get fireworks for the fourth. Just bottle rockets and sparklers, maybe some fountains. It was so much fun. I wish my son had a father who would do that. Personally I'm too scared of blowing my fingers off to handle fireworks.

Tomorrow I'm going to my sister In law's for a BBQ and some pool time. My son says he absolutely will not go in the big pool but maybe he will change his mind. It will be too cold for me to swim, only 86 degrees. I need it to be over ninety before I'm warm enough to swim. So we will probably sit on the edge and put our feet in. On the actual holiday I have no plans. Maybe set up the kiddie pool for my son to swim in. He likes the shallow pool.

It's the 4th of July today in my location.

It's also our 22nd wedding anniversary.

We have plans to attend some of the "street parties" in nearby towns. Live bands, food, celebration!

I hope everyone enjoys the day, whatever you are doing.

Always remember:

Baby, you're a firework!

You are loved, as well!
