Hi pointy. Sorry you are struggling. I'm on Latuda and I'm a raging horn dog. I don't have frame of reference since I've been on an AP or SSRI for 18 years.

Come to think of it, I recently dropped from 40 to 20 Latuda and I got super frisky, but that just mighta been spring fever.

Welbutrin and Ginko have helped many get that deep burning internal lust back from smouldering to full on red hot lava!

Good luck! Miss you!

I mostly lost mine since starting Latuda. It doesn't feel as good now. Not a huge deal for me as I'm not in a relationship. Hope you find something that helps.

Don't quote me on this, but I've heard that adding Wellbutrin helps increase sex drive in general. Can you talk to your pdoc about your low sex drive and ask him if Wellbutrin might be an option?

Best of luck

Welbutrin perked up my sex drive considerably. It gave me the Hypo too. I liked it, perhaps too much. My husband liked it even more. lol.

We may each have very individual responses to Latuda.
The dosage of Latuda may play a part.
Our current state/status may also play a part.

I have been experiencing a mixed state.
I am taking 60 mg Latuda.
I am only in my 3rd week of Latuda.

I do not notice any diminished sex drive at this point.
However, I am also not fully stabilized at this point.

My Best to You,
WC

Lol! Yes.

Wellbutrin has been one of my "go to" meds for depression. It is too agitating for me to use in a mixed state. However, once I am stabilized on Latuda, we may try Wellbutrin again, at a low dose.

Latuda killed my sex drive. I went off of it 6 weeks ago. I'm still waiting for it to come back. Lol.

One of the uses of Latuda is "Bipolar Depression."

Which kills the sex drive?
Bipolar Depression?
Latuda?
Both?

Thanks for all the responses. I'm already taking Wellbutrin, and my doctor says I can't have any more. I might ask her to lower the Latuda next time I see her. I feel awful feeling so numb and dead. I feel like I'm not fully human.

That's not a good feeling. I hope you will ask her about this and see if you can feel better somehow.

Latuda isn't the only bipolar drug that kills off your sex drive. I've despaired of having a normal sex drive now....combined with the fact that hubby is also on an AD, it's just a good thing that we like to cuddle.

Cuddling first can spark the desire for sex.... not every time, but I find it helps. So does caffeine.

Sorry to hear that Latuda isn't working out, even with Wellbutrin. Hopefully you find a new drug that works out for you

Latuda is the only thing that's helped with my depression. My depression was horrible and debilitating, and I'm afraid it will come back without the Latuda. But the Latuda leaves me feeling numb and dead inside. It's better than painful depression, but I don't like feeling this way either. I'm not sure what to do.

Well, there are other options besides Latuda. Have you exhausted all your options? You can always try something else out to see if it works for you. I mean, there's no harm in doing that, and you never know... you may find something that works great for you. Then if absolutely nothing works, you can go back on Latuda.

That's what I would do

Wellbutrin (atypical class of anti-d's) is the only drug that does not inhibit sex drive and orgasm.
