i don't know a lot about bipolar but i feel i may have bipolar 2 the reason is the instability of my moods ,yesterday i felt suicidal and didnt want to live ,today the thoughts are gone and i feel not to bad . i've been treated unsuccessfully for depression for the past 8 years surely with depression you never feel fully well .i sometimes do ,what do folk think, and if i did have bipolar 2 what is the treatment? i so wish i could be stable!!

Hi jefftele,
Im bp2 and the dx happened because after an year and a half and several different ad's my depression would return.I also believe that my "bottoming out"on ad's made my depressions more severe.
Best bet to really know if you are bp is see a pdoc......I can speculate that you may be bp but only a pdoc can dx and plan treatment.
Good luck in your quest!
Hope the info helps.
