You can work through BPD... not sure how though. BPD Recovery says that it can be overcome though.

http://www.bpdresources.com/index.html Is a decent site for information.

I have Boderline Personality disorder, and I wouldnt say I was cured but it took 5 years to get where I am today. this includes regaing guardianship of my daughter. I have healed and I still sometimes act on inpulse but i understand that I am the one in control and that even though i feel like i am floating around with no direction and i have to flip a coin to keep a simple descion simple oppose not panicing having to make a choice than changing it again and again...whew...

I think you would benifit to read the book I am> i got it at barnes and noble for 1295 It is called "get me out of here" by rachel reiland. about her recovery from it. and reading this story is almost like counseling to my own self. Its very good. Its a memoir and talks about what she did, it was publiched last year I believe. I think it would be worth checking into it oppose to accepting that the doctor who doesnt have it nor believe in its recovery. Read from someone who had it. Its rough sometimes. If you ever need anything, feel free to email me or Pm me. I am always willing to support others. Its a passion of mine. Get the book....it will make you feel better....there is hope, but its all up to you. thats the hard part, letting go of all that we have known....
