I heard latuda is expensive. So when I talked to Pdoc about weight gain, she cited Effexor and seraquel.
She gave me samples of Latuda. I took it for 3 weeks.
Isn't that long enough? I could see no improvement of anything. It had an anxiety type side effect for me.
Went back. She said stop it.
Funny. I rarely feel a drugs desired effect. Just the side effects. Then it's a matter of if I can deal with them.
Other than sleep meds -which make me sleep, meds are not worth it for me right now.
Do you ever feel like this ?

I bring up your threads once in a while, and apparently, the one for Patty Duke got you out of the cave.

Hi Darlin!
Nah. I'm iust back on the ranch in Costa Rica.
Tried the pot in CA. Not the low thc stuff, just regular.
Couldn't be a long term thing. Bothers my throat.
The only meds I've ever liked were opioids. They balance my mood but are hard to get and have loads of bad press.
What's new on psych central?

I'm right there now. Most meds work for a few weeks for me then drop out. I don't tend to get many side effects but some have been horrible for me. The amount of meds I am on bothers me so I am keen to drop a few and see how I go. Tomorrow I seen my pdoc and hope to discuss this with him. Latuda I doubt has really worked for me but only going off it will tell. I have been on it for 6 weeks and noticed little improvement. I am so close to going off all my meds (one by one) and see how I go. But I will restrain myself and see what the doctor has to say.

I stopped lorazepam.
Ok. Didn't need it.
Then Effexor. Pdoc said my am headaches were from the overnight withdrawals of Effexor.
Not true. Been off Effexor for 5 weeks. Still get headaches.
Yes. If you're considering going off meds, try one med at a time.
It's weird. The first thing I usually notice is lack of side effects!

I took Latuda. It helped my depression a bit, but it made me too drowsy and there were even a few times where it did nothing for my depression.. For me, the side effects outweighed the good.

Have you tried Abilify? It's a nice drug with 0 weight gain; no drowsiness.

It caused some weird vision problems for me at first (I couldn't focus on anything), but they've gone away.

Hi!

Most meds not only don't work for me, I usually experience rather severe side-effects.

I am in my 5th week of Latuda. It's been the most helpful med for me after many years of searching. I feel more energy; however, trying to find a happy medium between what's helpful energy and what may feel like too much at times.

The price of Latuda is outrageous!
If I was not desperate, I would not use it. I do not agree with the pricing at all and think it would be helpful to see a consumer ban due to pricing. I have needed the help Latuda offers me right now and am caught in a bind.

Love and Support to All,
WC

Latuda didn't do much for me other than make me drowsy and sick to my stomach. I feel like none of my meds work and I'm so sensitive to side effects it's not worth it. But then I remember how out of control I was off meds and that was worse. Not much worse. But worse.

I hated Latuda. It made my arms feel weird and gave me severe anxiety, and didn't help at all with my hallucinations.
Most meds help for a few months and then stop working for me. Except clozapine, it has helped for 2 years so far.

Latuda gave me crazy akathisia. It also made me sleepy. I hated it. Geodon is the way to go. I have a thing for geodon.

I'm taking a break from day meds.
Also am going to start less mg of seraquel. And jury is still out over temazepam.
I don't know if it's me or the meds, but very vivid dreams. I wake myself up to escape the dreams.
