It's amazing what a little chat with your therapist can do to boost your mood and hopefully pull you out of suicidal ideation. It's been a rough road but eventually I will let myself realize that everything is gonna be ok.

Glad to hear your therapist helped you a lot. Therapists are great people.

Your story gives me hope that I'll eventually find a good therapist... I just have to keep looking. My current one just laughs at me and says nothing of value, so I don't see him too often.

I love this post! I'm glad that you had such a good appointment with your therapist. Finding the right therapist can really make a huge difference. I found mine a couple of years ago after many years of working with the wrong people and it has made a world of difference in my life.

I'm glad I can help someone else, even when I can't fully help myself.

Glad you're feeling better after the conversation with your therapist. Sometimes a kind ear and thoughtful words help a whole lot.

The feeling isn't completely gone, but it is slowly fading at least.

I've been lucky so far that things have worked out between myself, my pdoc and therapist, on the first try. I do have an appointment at least tentatively scheduled with another pdoc in September. At the very least I feel like a second opinion is always a good idea. If things do continue to improve between now and then I'll cancel that appointment.

I've been to a therapist twice (same person - two appointments).
She said that she had worked with lots of Bps, but seemed horrified about thoughts of sui, and mania

What do you get out of therapy? What do they teach you? Why do you go?
