I'm a messy person and if it wants for my bf, my house would be trashed. With BP i find it hard to keep clean when I'm in a mood. And honestly, I plain right suck at cleaning. I do everything half assed so my bf steps in lol. When I was in bad depressions my house got so bad I had to have family come help clean and haul out trash. As long as I don't get that bad again I'm good.

I really need my home to be clean.
I can't stand my living space being dirty.
I may let the place get a little messy now and again but then I am on it.

My house is a pig sty. Have you ever seen Hoarders? Just kidding, it's not that bad. It could definitely use a cleaning though. I have a maid but she has bipolar too so there's that.

When I was growing up my house was atrocious. To the point where someone called social services on my mom because she thought it was an unhealthy living environment. Because of this and the embarrassment I felt, I keep my house relatively clean. I hate clutter and constantly pick it up. I'm not a clean freak; I'll let dishes sit in the sink a couple of days and I'm not good at dusting or mopping on a regular basis, but I take out the trash and make sure everything is put away, keep the litter boxes clean, etc. It's as clean as I can get it. I live with my mom and she is still really messy but keeps her mess contained upstairs so I don't have to look at it. The only thing that bothers me is she doesn't clean up after herself when she's done cooking. She made something with Parmesan cheese and spilled cheese all over the counter and just left it there, even though she had off the next day and I didn't. I probably should have said something but she doesn't cook very often so it's not a regular mess.

When I'm super depressed I'm not as good at keeping up with things but I still tidy up because I just can't be like my mom and let our house fall into disgusting, unsanitary conditions again.

Clean is not a word used to describe my house. It is not as bad as it was when I did the Hoarders show but it is the opposite of tidy.

I would say my house is normally clean. There are usually toys all over the place from my 2 year old but that can be easily tidied up.

I do find though that it depends on my moods. If I'm depressed I don't have the motivation to do anything. If I'm manic the place is spotless.

My place is pretty messy but it's tiny so it doesn't take much. It's more clutter though there are some dirty dishes also. I'm recovering from surgery so I can't do much about it.

Pretty clean. Wouldn't be embarrassed if someone came in.

About as clean as a house with a 17 and 21 year old and two dogs can be. Not spotless, but decent enough that I have no qualms about anyone walking into my house on short notice.

I live in a furnished studio at the Chez Extended Stay.

It's neat, tidy and clean where it counts ...

I'm not a dust chaser, though, and fear what the underside of that spare bed over there must look like after 9 years of never being vacuumed under ...

Not to mention the tops of the cabinets in the kitchenette!

I was just thinking...maybe the term 'clean' is subjective. When I think my place is a mess, and someone happens to be over, I apologize for the mess, but they don't see the same thing I'm seeing. For me, clean is spotless. Everything is clean and put in its place and the house smells like roses. Anything short of that is filthy to me. But I guess it's good enough that you could come over without feeling disgusted.

I'm embarrassed to have anyone in my house right now. It's bad but not CPS worthy.

I live with my parents and their house is pretty clean... but my room? Oh god... My room looks like it was hit by a tornado, then an earthquake, then a mudslide.

Stuff everywhere on the floor, stuff in my bed, stuff all over my walk-in closet, papers and boxes piled up in a disorganized way on my computer desk... Can't find anything!

It's bad. lol. My mom threatened to clean my room while I'm away on my trip because it bothered her that much!
