Hey there. Just a quick question. After discussing it with my therapist and pdoc it seems that even though my Latuda seems to keep my symptoms and swings at a more manageable level, I have been stuck in a mild to moderate depression for quite a few months now. Because of this I have added Wellbutrin to my daily routine. I'm just wondering if anyone has experience with both. What kind of side effects might I expect? Have you found it to be a winning combo? I have high hopes based on my doc's recommendation and some of the reviews I have read, just want to get some feedback from people like me. I don't post often, but I lurk on here daily and usually find something that helps my day. Thanks.

Wellbutrin was pretty good for me, except it increased my anxiety. I'm not taking it anymore because my anxiety is pretty bad.

Wellbutrin is activating for me and has been excellent at combating my depression on several occasions. Without an AP or stabalizer, it can make me hypo. I get pretty intense increased anxiety for the first few weeks and then it levels off. I'm hoping my PDOC will add some Wellbutrin to my cocktail at my upcoming appt. I hope Latuda and Wellbutrin will be a good combo for you. Best wishes!

I'm on Wellbutrin and Latuda. They're working pretty well for me. The Wellbutrin really helped with my depression. It gave me a lot more energy. I think the Latuda is making me feel numb, so I'm hoping to lower the dose soon. I take 400 mg Wellbutrin and 60 mg Latuda.
The biggest side effect I was warned about is seizure. Both Wellbutrin and Latuda can cause seizures, so the risk is higher together. I also have other risk factors, so it worries me, but so far it's been alright.

I, too, hope to be adding Wellbutrin to my cocktail soon!
I am doing well on Latuda, yet could still use some help with depression and energy. I hope to try the SR preparation/formulation soon, even at low doses. I hope it works out for you! ![]() WC |

Have any of you experienced increased irritability and anger from the wellbutrin? I've read several reviews that say it can be bad enough to make one go off the medication. I'm already irritable when depressed, I don't really need added anger.

When I was a teenager, they misdiagnosed me as bipolar. I was put on Wellbutrin. I attacked my grandmother after a few weeks and was so angry I was breaking things. I was not aggressive at all prior to the medication. Thankfully they stopped it and I was no longer a danger.
