I know that we all get a lot of support and help here at PC, what about in real life from others with BP? I just had the opportunity to connect with another person who suffers from BP, a first for me. Does anybody else find this helpful? Or do you get a little triggered? I found that while it was nice to have somebody that I can relate to, I was a bit triggered. I have always mourned the loss of my hypo states, and the beginnings of a manic episode. Lately not so much, but as I was talking to my new friend those feelings came rushing back. I don't know if this is going to be helpful for me or harmful.

Others experiences??

My ex was BP1 like me, I didn't know it at the time we were dating but I do now. we've stayed in touch, and though it is nice to have someone who understands our struggles, it can be negative too. there have been times when we've been depressed simultaneously and we've almost checked out together.
