What cheers you up? Why does spending money cheer me up? Is that weird?

FINALLY, I got my new bike!

Specialized Myka 650b MSRP $899. Paid $399. Light as a feather! (Well, not exactly a feather ) But now I feel guilty about spending so much

Apparently spending money cheers me up

Very nice bike! And what a deal.

And spending money on myself cheers me up too. I'm not sure why but it feels good.

Hello bluebicycle: Nice bike! Spending money has always cheered me up too. As a result, I spent way too much, over the years. Now I seldom spend money on anything that isn't absolutely necessary... not that I wouldn't like to...

Sounds like you got a great deal on your bike. Congratulations!

Ah, bicycles.

Good deal on it. Now go ride, but no gravel grazing. It takes the fun out of your ride.

Beautiful bike!! And what a great deal
I am a self-diagnosed shopaholic, spending money cheers me up too so I go whenever I'm sad, depressed, anxious, upset, etc... aka it cheers me up until I get my bank statement!

Ha! I should

My first bike ever was light blue/turquoise. It was my favorite bike until I smashed the sh*t out of it when I fell off and it crashed into a tree. lol. I think I must've been like 9?

Spending never ends. You need road tyres and competition brakes to start.
I can give a few more hints of how to go totally broke wasting money in a bicycle.
It's very pretty, but it could use LEDs and an air horn ya know?. Kidding!!. Enjoy!!!.

Spending money is like an adrenaline rush but after the fact, guilt & anxiety set in way too fast & lots of regret

Good price! Spending money can cheer me up, but it is usually a compulsion on my part. Still, the packages from UPS are exciting, like xmas.

Other than paying bills, what else is money good for. Spend it and have fun.

Nice bike! I have not been riding in years but have been craving to since my recent move (I live in a very beautiful rural area). Spending cheers me up too, but not as much as my cats I wouldn't feel bad for spending money on a bike because they're never going to be cheap and are very useful in so many ways!

The best advice I have ever gotten (from ~Christine, I think) was when I get that spending bug, take $20, and go to the dollar store.
I come home with bags of stuff and only spent an amount I can handle

I bought a used Trek bicycle in 2007 and I love it to death. But because it spent its life as a rental bike, used every day forever in their rentals, it seems to need extensive tune ups every year. I want so much to be able to ride again but I have to move to a place with an elevator to get it up and down stairs.

ETA I spent around. $200 to make it mine and i have never once regretted the expenditure.
