As I'm sitting here typing this I feel like there is someone or something watching me. My brother who is currently staying with me is at work so I'm supposed to be the only one home. I keep glancing around and every so often I feel as if something is moving, like I can see it move. It's starting to freak me out a little bit.

Sounds like paranoia. It's probably not a BP thing unless you're in an episode and this paranoia is one of the symptoms.

When I get hallucinations, it's stuff like: As I was driving home from the pharmacy, I once saw a old teal Chevy pickup truck on the side of the road near the woods.. As I was driving toward it, all of a sudden the driver cut me off and slammed the brakes on me. Then I slammed my brakes too, only to realize there was no such pickup truck. The pickup truck vanished into thin air. Another example: When I was driving one time, I saw these 2 boys in red polo shirts dancing near the street, and it looked like they were trying to cross without their parents. (I couldn't see their parents.) I was afraid I was going to hit them, so I slammed the brakes. No such boys. Did not exist. They vanished too.

Also had hallucinations on my plane ride home from Europe. It was actually kinda funny. I saw a huge ripped hole in the back of some guy's pants and his boxers were sticking out. It wasn't real, though.

Hope that helps

Can you ask your pdoc if you can take extra Xanax? That might help get rid of the paranoid thoughts.

Also, is anxiety a problem for you in general? Just wondering if you should be on something like propranolol or buspar. I guess you could ask about those 2 drugs at your next pdoc appointment if anxiety is a real problem for you.

Anxiety has been an issue for me pretty much my entire life (or for at least as long as I can remember, that and depression). I will definitely be bringing this up with my pdoc when I see him again on the 19th.

I didn't think about that because I'm so used to just taking it at night when I am wanting to sleep.

Depends. Sounds like anxiety. If you are seeing things, could be psychosis but then you'd be misdiagnosed.

Try not to overthink it. If you're anxious, tired, focus on "seeing stuff"...you'll scare yourself.

The fact that your questioning at all means you're lucid. That's good. And hallucinations and delusions can get so "real"....well, you're not there. That's good.

Call your pdoc if it continues.

I get that way on occasion. Not sure what it is. Could be anxiety.

I get paranoid whenever I'm about to have an episode. Like super paranoid! I have had a psychotic breaks where every time I was home alone I was sure people were watching and waiting for me outside and thought that everyone I knew was out to get me and could read my thoughts. Mostly though my paranoia manifests as coworker's and certain family members being out to get me.

JustJace2U im experiencing the same thing at the moment, for the last 2 weeks i have been seeing a black figure with beady shiny black eyes constantly staring at me from the corner of my bedroom. The first time i seen this 2 weeks ago, i was writing my thoughts down in a book & all of a sudden i heard it whisper, i looked up & couldnt look away, it was whispering things i couldnt understand at first but i just froze & could not look away, it was speaking to me & i was replying through my mind. I was nodding in agreement & rocking back & forth while listening, i dont remember everything but i do remember all of a sudden just snapping my pen in half from anger & hiding under my covers from it, it moved to different spots in my room twice that night & eversince, it hasnt left. 2 nights ago i tried asking it questions because i dont understand why its there 24/7 just staring at me, sometimes grinning like a cheshire cat. It doesnt speak when spoken to, it speaks on its own terms. 2 nights ago it told me it wants to take over, it wants to take control. This isnt the first time i've seen & talked to people that arent there, i've seen my mum's ghost & spoken to her a few times, but this time was different, this time i was actually afraid & i dont scare easily.

Does this happen in other situations other than when you are alone at home? Like you thinking someone is following you when you drive? Does this happen only when you are alone? How long does this last? Maybe a mild episode of paranoia. Perhaps an overactive imagination that is related to anxiety. Just some thoughts.

Things are still the same, unfortunately. I just keep feeling as if someone is in the room with me when I know I'm the only who's supposed to be here.

Thanks for sharing your experience. With me it's shadows of people and sometimes flashes of light even. It definitely creeps me out.

It only seems to happen when I'm alone, or at least that's when it is most prevalent.

I'm sorry you're still experiencing this. Home should be a safe place. I had this for 2 or 3 weeks straight once after having a VERY brief psychotic episode of some sort (auditory only). I could not sleep without every light on in the house. I was not in any treatment at the time so it's hard to say if it was bipolar or another one of my disorders like BPD. It certainly is a really uncomfortable feeling. Home should be a safe place

When you talk about flashing lights, is it like they are jumping off the walls & stuff like little sparks?

I've seen them in a few different ways. The way you mentioned is one of them.
