Do you try to keep hypomania going with caffeine or other energy drinks? I have the tendency to do that.

BUT, I had a proud moment this evening. I went to my pharmacy to pick up a Rx, and instead of grabbing a caffeinated beverage to keep my excited mood going, I got a milk. I know that I need to be responsible and keep regular bedtime hours (as regular as I can), and it would be irresponsible of me to stay up late tonight, feeling hypomanic.

What I said to myself was "be responsible." That helped.

I chase that high everyday with a lot of energy drinks. My body is so used to the caffeine that I drank FIVE today and still fell asleep twice on the couch. Some kick lol

Caffeine doesn't do much for me. I don't even drink it very often, so it's not like I've built a tolerance.

I'd need a stronger stimulant. Sudafed does it. So does Adderall... but Adderall scares the s*** out of me because of the psychosis it causes and because I stayed up for 3 days straight. Then I crashed into the worst depression ever

But, I know that a lack of sleep can trigger hypo/mania, so I suppose you could take caffeine every night to keep yourself up or something.

It's good that you're being responsible though
Thanks for this!

Yea I should probably mention my past with stimulant abuse. I had a script for vyvanse and a demanding job. I would run around that office on full speed. Then the script would run out and I'd be a mess for a week if I didn't find any adderall. The whole time I was chasing that manic sensation
