I think this short (35 minute) clip says a world about Bipolar in a short time.
The clip is shot totally in split screen with low grade mania on the left and depression on the right.
It is an amazing short film.

May be very depressing to some people!

I just watched it. It was not at all what I expected. It really made me think.

Thanks for sharing. That did hurt to watch and I would warn some to avoid it if you're feeling sensitive but it was very well made. Really touched me as it captured depression well.

Thanks! That portrays a paralyzing depression, the many meds and the sense of hopelessness we all feel at times.

Wow. That film portrayed my depression exactly. Their are weeks that al I do is sleep or stare at the ceiling. Even the manic phase when I go to he gym often portrayed me with the lack of sleep. It hit hard with his suicide. I attempted it the same manner except I didn't blend everything took it pill by pill.

That depression was spot on but his mania seemed extraordinarily mild. More hypo than anything. And I was very taken aback to see he had 4 refills for Ambien! That stuff shouldn't be long term. It's terribly addicting and dangerous for people who are sui risk. I think some docs only prescribe it for no more than three months. I had a really bad addiction to them when I was a teen and would be dead if I had access to the amount he does! Horrible horrible drug

I remember being able to refill ambien. It was on label 3 remaining. Yes very addicting and I had insomnia once my body was used to the dosage.

I thought it was interesting and very well-done as a piece of art film-making. But i thought it only did a good job of portraying depression. For me, it didn't do a good job of showing mania. I thought it would have been better if the left screen showed what he did at the times shown when he was manic and then you could see the contrast. I guess it would have been far more expensive and complicated to film because there would have to have been other actors showing the manic him being the life of the party and the general fireworks and adventures and mayhem of mania.

I thought "Touched With Fire" portrayed bipolar better. Mania was much more clearly shown in that film. This short film really was more about unipolar depression with just a few ineffective sentences about mania.

It was a good-quality film, tho, with lots of neat shots. The creator is very talented.
