anyone please explain the differrence between them, the explanation of it on this site was good, but didnt register with my head. in other words im confused.

I'm confused too. I think it has to do with how rapidly you cycle...BP1's go up and down more frequently, where BP2's stay in their up, down, or mixed periods for longer periods of time...I think...
Anyone who knows, please correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks.

Here is the best explanation of BP II I've ever seen. But briefly, BP II is way more depressive than manic, and BP I is both depressive and manic.

This is how my pdoc explained to me.

Bp 2-hypomanic,never had full blown mania.The depressive features however are the same.
