Do you feel like you see the world differently than most people? Do you feel like they MUST see things differently or they would JUST GET IT?

I think everyone else must not see what I see.

Perception is everything, and mine changes with my moods. It's frustrating that I can't stay in my happy mood all of the time, because I feel like my perception is so much clearer and closer to "reality" as I believe it to be.

I wonder constantly if I feel things differently than other people. It numbs me sometimes to my company. Those who don't understand mental illness or struggle profoundly for other reasons. I also struggle with the perception most people have of me. I have a very well crafted mask that I wear to brave the world. Most people are completely unaware of my rocky mental states.
So yes.

I think I do see things differently. I just don't get what's going on in my country. I try to understand how my friends are doing. For the most part though I remain quiet and keep my perceptions to myself.

I occasionally meet people that see things like I do. But then I freak out about it and try to be bffls with them and they give me creeped out looks and run away. This life, man.

I don't think I could narrow down how I perceive the world in a few words. I'm an INFP and that's a rare personality type. So statistically, I suppose I perceive things differently than most if you believe the sixteen personality type is valid. Myers-Brigg.

My perception is similar to the perception of some people and very different from the perception of other people.

It is definitely affected by mood.

I definitely have a different perception from most people in my family-of-origin.
I have some difficulty finding people seeing life in a similar light.
Depends upon the crowd.

What is the personality type supposed to tell you? I don't really understand the classifications but it seems interesting.

According to Wikipedia:

The Myers–Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is an introspective self-report questionnaire designed to indicate psychological preferences in how people perceive the world and make decisions.

The MBTI was constructed by Katharine Cook Briggs and her daughter Isabel Briggs Myers. It is based on the typological theory proposed by Carl Jung who had speculated that there are four principal psychological functions by which humans experience the world – sensation, intuition, feeling, and thinking – and that one of these four functions is dominant for a person most of the time. The MBTI was constructed for normal populations and emphasizes the value of naturally occurring differences. "The underlying assumption of the MBTI is that we all have specific preferences in the way we construe our experiences, and these preferences underlie our interests, needs, values, and motivation."

I do feel as if I perceive some things differently than others, but not necessarily everything. It depends on who I'm with, whether it's a friend I've known for years or someone I just met. I always try to keep an open mind, but sometimes it's just not that easy for me.
