By the way, I realize the primary gist of your thread is about this pdoc's attitude and approach - and I think Innerzone nailed it in terms of a great way to respond after you're set up at a new clinic.
I hope my support of what I think mindfulness can accomplish didn't sound like I was minimizing your primary frustration - and I hope it didn't come off like I think you don't know what would work best for you. I hate when that happens to me, and rereading my response I'm a little worried it might sound like that. Also, I'm really sorry your music isn't flowing within right now. Loss of creativity, whether due to medication or the normal ebbs & flows of BP, is really demoralizing. I hope you get it back soon... ![]() |

Amazing cartoons!!! SO TRUE!!!!! I've printed this out in color, and am sticking it into my Bright Sided book, or maybe on the wall. I have a ---ulp -- confession to make, from back when I was even more ignorant than I am now. I knew nothing at all about mental illness, or medication. I had a friend who told me he was taking medication for (either depression or bipolar, don' t remember which). I told him he seemed fine to me, and probably did not need to take medication. I belonged to a "positive thinking" religion for a long time, until I finally caught on that it was extremist.
