I've been on it since 2009 and I love it!! But as you know different drugs work for different people. Hope it works for you!
I will admit that it's one of those drugs that has to titrate up, so you may not experience the benefit right away.
Thanks for this!

I was on trileptal with great success until it stopped working. I was at the highest dose and had to go to the ER because of side effects. My vision went double/cross and I couldn't even walk. The tiredness goes away as you get used to it. I remember "sleeping it off" just for a day or two and never had the drowsy effects again.

I'm curious to hear how it worked for others out of interest. I have a list of all the meds I've ever tried and this is the only one on that list that I have no memory of taking. Clearly it didn't work or the side effects were bad but anyway. It's weird, and it's bothered me for a long time.

For me, I would mostly have dysphoric symptoms. I was always angry and full of rage. I was that person that people would avoid because no one knew what would set me off. All of that pretty much stopped once I was on Trileptal. My moods did even out and that was all I was on for years. But the nature of the illness, depression snuck it's way in and other junk was added. It did make me super tired, but luckily once I started with Wellbutrin it helped to counteract the constant tired feeling. I cannot mess with its dosage because any attempt to decrease the amount (I'm currently taking 1800mgs all at night) has resulted in irritability and the mean and mad person comes out of me again.

I was on it for a while, the drawback was that I was extremely spaced out and that never went away.

I literally could not walk straight, wasn't able to drive, constant nausea even taking zofran ! But I took it for almost a month and finally had to toss it in a bin with all the other psych meds that either didn't work or side effects I could not handle .

Sad thing is it really helped stabilize my Bipolar.

Everyone is different if course. I hope this works well for you !

I started it last week.
I just feel spacey. I also am having a really hard time waking up.
And im only on 150mg at night.
Pdoc said next week we may double it. But im not sure if ill ever wake up if it goes higher. Im not seeing any benefits yet, only side effects.
