Just throwing that out there. Even my stellar therapist and psychiatrist missed the signs. We kept upping my AP and making it worse.

That's been superfun. My boyfriend Geodon turned on me in October and I'm just started to get better now.

I switched to Saphris and I'm over the taste, but whoa to dreams and initially head pain and hunger pains.

Still have some paranoia, paranoia steeped in reality, like so and so hates me (they don't), or I'm going to lose my job (got reviewed, got raise). But wow man, what a painfully unnecessary ride.

If only I could stop day grinding. No shaking or involuntary movements. YET.

Oh god, I feel for you. I recently got akasthisia on geodon, and it was pure hell. At first we just upped the geodon as I had started in in the midst of a mixed state.("maybe I'm getting worse and need more meds") Then we started treating the akasthisa, think TONS of Ativan and Benadryl while staying ON the geodon hoping the side effect was temporary. Naturally the akasthisia kept getting worse and worse. Then... I stopped the geodon on my own and told my doctor(or rather the fill in doctor because my doctor was gone for all of this) She put me on blood pressure medicine and two days later I was better. But of course I was depressed and exhausted and angry.

I'm so sorry you are going through this. My heart goes out to you

Akathisia is no fun. I have been struggling with it on Abilify and had to reduce the dose after a month of no success with Cogentin, Neurontin, and a megadose of B6. I am already on a benzo and can't take a beta blocker. It is so frustrating. I hope it gets better for you on Saphris. Have you been on other antipsychotics other than Geodon that didn't do this to you?
