Do you believe in reincarnation?

I swear I am reincarnated. I must've done something awful in my past life, which is why I have BP. It's a form of torture! Cruel and unusual punishment, I say, because I can't even remember what I did! (I need to stop destroying my past lives!)

I wonder if I was a murderer. I sometimes have violent, murderous dreams. I attack people and sometimes kill them in cold blood. Could I have been a murderer, and is this why I have BP? To torture me for my past behaviors?

I also dream of places I've never been, but ultimately end up seeing them sometime in my life. It's not quite déjà vu either because I obviously have visited the place before. But the place I "revisit", I don't revisit it right away. Sometimes it takes days; other times it takes weeks, months, years.

Do any of you feel as though your BP is a punishment for your past behaviors? Maybe you did something in your previous life that screwed yourself over?

And if you did screw yourself over, it's not fair that we are punished with having 0 memories of what we did. But I guess that's the "torture". It's not torture if it's not painful, either emotionally or physically. (Talk about horrible torture!)

It's like I want to run away from whomever did this to me (is there really a God?? Is this part of the cycle of nature???), but I can't because I don't know who/what did this to me!

i'm not sure i believe in reincarnation, the whole idea seems a little far fetched.

if i did though, i'd like to come back as a cat

I do believe in an afterlife. I believe that we float around the earth just without pain and suffering (or maybe not earth, maybe another world), but their has to be something when we die

I think there's karma involved as well. As people say, "karma's a b#tch!"

As it has been said before, karma and reincarnation are laws of the cosmos.

I wonder if karma is all relative... and does karma balance itself out? I mean, if I'm a bad person and you're a good person, does the positive and negative cancel each other out to balance out the universe?

Food for thought.

I believe I did something awful in a past life too. I'm not sure what though. I don't have homicidal dreams like you do. lol. Just anxiety dreams all of the time.

Maybe I was murdered in a past life. Maybe I'm being punished twice. Once in my most recent past life, and once in this life too, which is why my life is so hard. I've always been afraid of drowning and suffocating, so maybe I died by drowning in my most recent past life.

Or maybe there's just some lesson we need to learn in this life.

I don't know.

I wish I could come back as a cat. I'd love to laze about.

Do you think in our afterlife that we remember who we were and what we did? And if we all have an afterlife, what kind of entities are we? Do we take the form of a human or do we exist as particles? The universe is infinitely large, so surely it can accommodate us all -- but where do we all go? That is the question

That's really interesting about karma.

I don't think the positive and negative cancel each other out though. If they did there wouldn't be any positive or negative at all, because they'd always be canceling each other out, until eventually there's just neutral, which isn't the way it is.

Yeah, that sucks you probably drowned and suffocated.

I wish there were more dream interpretation studies going on. Freud was an amazing scientist and psychologist.

I think there are more to dreams than what we give dreams credit for

I think that when we die our energy is released out into the universe and we just sort of float around as part of everything.

Like maybe that's nirvana like buddhists believe.

And before that we reincarnate, until we learn all the lessons we need to learn.

I may or may not believe in reincarnation.

I definitely do not believe I am being punished for a past life.

I do believe I have lots to learn and the challenges of this lifetime offer me the opportunity to learn and to grow. I try to see each challenge as a growth opportunity.

Hm. Yes, that's certainly a possibility.

But WHO or WHAT "gives out" karma? That is the question.

In hinduism, I think there is a god. but I don't believe in a god per se./ (sorry, folks.) So I think something else decides our karma. Maybe it's some sort of complicated metaphysics sh#t.

yes, I do believe we know what we did.

Possible trigger:

this is where the theory comes from. I think we will remember that we had mental illness, and that we attempted on our lives, that we struggled (perhaps we will remember our friends)

I think wee are humans. just like you and me now, but... diffrent, in some way

smaller, perhaps. like minions. lol. I don't know

I don't think anything gives out karma. I think it just is. Like it's the laws of the universe or something, like there's positive and negative energy.

I would hate to float around as part of everything. I mean, there's poop and all that stuff.

But I do think we learn from our lessons AFTER we reincarnate. I mean, that's why we are cursed with BP. We are being punished and "taught a lesson", except we can only piece together the clues and figure out what lesson we are being taught.

I was totally a murderer in my past life

Fair enough.

Why do you think you have BP? Luck of the draw? "Some people have to have it harder than others in order to balance out the universe"? Or something like that

ugh. minions. lol.

Interesting take on sui.

I heard an interesting thing from one of my teachers back when I was about 14. I heard that you can only dream of people who you've seen during your life. Like, the faces and people you see are those you have met either by direct contact or by passing each other by on the street. So I wonder, just wonder, if some of the people in our dreams are people we used to know. IDK if you see where I'm getting at.

What if afterlife was a form of torture and reward?

Those who lived good lives are rewarded. Those who led awful lives are punished.

This sorta ties back to the karma idea.

I think in each life we're surrounded by the same people, just everyone takes on a new role.

I live with several severely painful autoimmune conditions and have lived through a lot of trauma. BP is a small part of my story. Why these challenges?
I think that answer is multi-factorial, complicated, involving genes, biology/biochemistry, etc.

I don't believe the forces of the universe conspire to teach me a lesson by torturing me with conditions of severe chronic pain.

I do believe I can use any challenge as an opportunity for growth.

I have had several "new age healing practitioners" tell me I must have done horrific things in past lives. Is there anything "healing" about these practitioners trying to convince someone they are being "punished?" No.

This whole concept is based on fear, not love. Fear further perpetuates suffering; it does not promote healing.

I choose love over fear.

Just my own very humble opinion.
