Im on seroquel for an unknown condition, might be bipolar mixed or psychosis. i took it because i was having so much high energy and space out and dissociation from reality i felt like i could barely control it, like being on a bad mushroom trip. i tried different dosages, all pretty low, but so super sensitive to meds i cant take more than 37.5mgs cause it makes me feel awful awful depression to the point of actually wanting to kill myself. im currently trying to taper off and maybe only take 3/4 of a 25mg pill but right now im on 31.25(1 pill and 1/4) and 4 days left until im able to taper down to 25mg. the depression is so severe though from this stuff that i almost have to go to the hospital and i really dont wana be in a psychward they are scarey places. aside from exercise does anyone know what you can do or take to deal with agitation and severe depression caused by seroquel until you can taper off. i want this **** out of me!! but if you go down too fast youll get really bad withdrawals. ive been trying to drink coffee and take small amounts of ginseng but then i get mania. just need a way to deal with the agitation, edginess and depression its causing until i get off of it. anyone have any ideas?

When I first completely tapered off of Seroquel XR (due to twitching muscles and clenching my jaw) I did so over the course of 3 days. XR 300, XR 200, XR 100, nothing. I don't know why your doctors are tapering you down so slowly if your side effects are that bad--plus Seroquel at doses less than 300mg can be very sedating.
I'm currently on regular release Seroquel 200mg AM, 400mg PM. When my current doctors weren't listening to me about how poorly I was functioning, I supplemented my low dose of meds (50mg Zoloft, 100mg Seroquel) with Yogi: Ginkgo Clarity tea, and WellMind: Mental Focus tablets. The tea helped more than the tablets. |

I'm assuming your on straight Seroquil? , have you called your Pdoc ? If not ....it's advisable , I do realize it's Friday .
Going IP isn't always a horrible thing. It's the safest place to be where you're meds can be changed quickly and you will have nurses to monitor you 24/7 and help fast if something isn't helping. Stay safe
