We decided after last session that she could not meet my asks of her in our relationship. Also she cannot deal with supporting me and my MI. We decided that we are going to see other people and move forward with divorce. Yet we have another session with the couples counselor scheduled for a month. I feel like this is unnecessary money to be spending based on our current financial situation.
I mean what is the point, she is done there is nothing I can do about it. There is no need to be bitter in co parenting our kids. I feel like it is a waste of money, if anything I need to save that money to see my T more.

I can see how it would be helpful in the long run. I know you feel you will both be civil and put the kids first, you might just be surprised at how things actually go. Let's just say I've seen my share of divorced, and while in one case, the people did a fantastic job at making the divorce as painless as possible for the kids, this is not the usual. Especially when a mental health condition is present. Some kids adjust to divorce without any problems, but more often than not, they will deal some psychological repercussions they will need help getting through and healing from. A therapist could help you through this on so many levels and help you and your ex work as a team in helping your children.

Of course if you think your need for individual therapy is more urgent right now, and you can't afford both, it's completely understandable to end these sessions out of pure necessity. You need to take care of YOU first, or you won't be able to take care of anyone.

Does your wife want to have one more appointment? Have you talked about it? Even though you will be going your separate ways, there is still the need for good communication. If both of you could be accommodated during this transition, it could be useful. I'm sorry that this is happening, it's a lot to process.

My wife is the one who scheduled it, I would be fine with it if it weren't totally out of pocket at 110$. That makes it seem like it is not worth it. We are kinda broke and it is just going to get worse.
