When you're hypo/manic, do you ever get a feeling of excitement/energy in your chest? (No, not related to sexual excitement. lol.) Like, you have excessive energy from within and it's all being enclosed in your chest. (Think Ironman with his blue, luminous heart! All of his energy is encapsulated in that heart.)
Orrrrr maybe I'm just being a weirdo 😬 |

Yes, when I'm manic I have energy in my chest. It's like my heart beats faster and just in general I have more energy. Fortunately, my manic episodes are few these days and are controlled by meds. I kind of miss them.

I have energy in every cell and every bodily area including and intensely packed in the chest area. My heart felt like it would explode from the excitement.

I sometimes do but it turns into anxiety for me. Life is not fun being comorbid.

I do wonder if it's an anxiety response of some sort but it continues on even when I'm not anxious. Excited but not anxious. Maybe the body can't tell the difference? I feel like I have drugs pounding through my veins and in my chest. I'm told this is common but it's doesn't seem everyone has this hyped up drugged feeling. It's one of my most hard to ignore symptoms.

I have never experienced this in my chest it is always in my mind/brain. A little storm of energy going on. I like it and it seems to not last long enough for me to get control of.

I know I'm not anxious right now, and yet, I can still feel energy "emanating" from my chest. I think anxiety gives me that feeling of drugs pounding through my veins. With every heartbeat, I feel a rush of those "drugs". It's a very strange feeling. Anyway, it's interesting to see that other people have similar experiences. This "energy" is one of my most noticeable signs of hypo/mania. I get all giggly because of this energy, too. |

When I am manic I can feel super calm but my doctor got me too put my hands out and I was shaking a lot from the energy rushing through me (not lithium shakes as i hardly get them) My heart races so yes my chest does feel weird. I get so wound up physically it is not surprising it effects my heart-rate and gives me tremors.

TOTALLY. I get something like a glowing ball of energy in my chest and my stomach. It is like this ball is vibrating with in me, growing, pounding. I feel like a Little Girl before her birthday, so excited, so overflowingly happy. And from this spot between my chest and stomach the energy will go radiating into my legs and arms and feet and fingers and it feels like I am about to take off. It's totally beautiful but also exhausting and I cannot really enjoy it that much because there is no real reason for that feeling, like I am not really a little girl and tomorrow is not my birthday. By now it is kind of a warning sign, but I can't help welcoming that feeling anyway.
