Hi everyone!
I am very new to treatment for bipolar, I was diagnosed a long time ago and went into denial for 8 years and refused any meds except the occasional antidepressant(which always make my hypomanic). I started my treatment this summer and I'm waiting to get into a CBT program in January. I was rapid cycling when I started meds, now I'm still having ups and downs but not nearly as bad.. I just got my abilify increased to stop a hypomanic episode and I'm now experiencing hypomania hangover as I've seen it called.. I'm happy to be here!!

 I hope you find the time you spend here to be of benefit.  PsychCentral is a great place to get information as well as support for mental health issues. There are many knowledgeable & caring members here. The more you post, & reply to other members’ posts, the more a part of the community you will become.  Plus there are social groups you can join & chat rooms where you’ll be able to connect with other PC members in real time (once your first 5 posts have been reviewed & approved.) Lots of great stuff! Hypomanic hangover...that is possibly the best way I've ever heard it described and just went through it myself.
