Today I am getting out of the hospital after being here a month. Of course I am excited but at the same time I am kind of freaking out. I can't wait to see my kids but everything feels so overwhelming. I know I need to take it slow but even then it still feels like too much. I am terrified.

Take a slow deep breath. Things won't be as bad as you think. It's anxiety. Use the tools that you've been given and you will be able to handle it. It's normal to be scared of going back into the real world, but all will be well.

It took me a few days. Everything was very overwhelming and scary. But it settled down. Take it slow, don't try to do too much at once.

Take things slow and easy. Practicing mindfulness and staying focused on simple tasks can help. Be kind and patient with yourself. (((Hugs)))

Take it slow, and give it time as you acclimate to your new/old environment. Best of luck to you, and congratulations on your discharge.

Take it easy. Every time I got out of IP it took me a few days to bounce back.

I got out on Monday. It's an adjustment, but there are things I couldn't do while inpatient that I can do now. I'm on sick leave though, so I don't have to go back to work till mid-November.

This last time getting out (Sept), it was nice to be able to do what I want- like get Starbucks. (No caffeine allowed on the unit). I was only gone a week though- half at reg hospital and half at psych

Wow I feel like I have been hit by a truck. I just want to sleep all the time. I don't know if it is the meds making me tired. Not sure how I am going to make it at work tomorrow.

I used vacation time while I was in the hospital. I don't want to use anymore and I have a lot of work to catch up on.
