I'm having one of those nights where I can't sleep. I don't feel especially tired (I mean, I'm a liiiittle tired), but I just don't want to sleep.

Has anyone else felt this way before? It's a weird feeling. It's not quite insomnia and not quite "little need for sleep".

When I don't feel the need for sleep, I'm hypomanic and don't feel the need for sleep.

Insomnia is when you're tired and want to sleep, but can't.

Yeah, I've felt it. There are nights when I just have no desire to be unconscious. It's usually mania for me.

Saturday night, I was up all night and not tired at all. I thought that's what insomnia is. When I was manic last month, I slept two hours a night and woke up completely refreshed and ready to go for the day.
