I had given my wife my pills to hang onto but then realized that I still had a bottle in my purse. So today in talking to my T I let it slip that I had a bottle in my purse. So we spent time going in circles about what I was going to do with them. I eventually told her I would give them to my wife thinking the whole time that I wouldn't and she would never know. But at the last minute I gave them to my T. I just couldn't be trusted with them. My thoughts are just too dark right now and not in the right place. I hope she can appreciate how hard that was for me.

I have numerous times " over served " myself meds.

Then .....

I handed them to my husband and he has had them for I dunno 3 years or so, because when I get bad it happens so fast and with no hint of a heads up .

I do keep on hand a couple days worth of meds incase I need them and he isn't home. It's such a small amount even if I took them all. I would still be safe.

Im glad you trusted your T !

Stay safe

I think your therapist knows how hard it is. I've had to give up things to mine before and he has always been very respectful and seemed to understand how big it was for me to hand things over.

Good work keeping yourself safe. I had to do the same thing with my Ativan awhile back, and I was kinda proud of myself for doing it because it meant admitting I had a problem keeping MYself safe. People can only help you if you let them know how bad it is for you at a given time. I wish you well.
