I've had a plan the last 2 years that was reasonably priced per month and many of my meds were free. But that plan got in trouble and was terminated. The so-called replacement for it doesn't cover my meds. So I started searching and most plans don't cover my meds well, especially clozaril. It looks like I have one choice and my out of pocket will be doubling plus I'll be paying 33% more for the plan.
Is anyone else finding Med D really stressful this year? I live in a really rural place which makes for fewer options I think but this is quite stressful.

If you're low-income enough, you can qualify for a program called Extra Help, which covers most of your part D premium and all but a small co-pay for your prescriptions. Do some research on different plans; some have a page on their website that allows you to plug in all your meds and find out if they're covered. I use ExpressScripts and my premium is only $4.60 per month, which is automatically deducted from my SSDI. I pay $1.63 to $2.95 for a 30-day supply of medications (all of which are generic). I don't know if it's available in your area, but you may want to see if it's an option.

I don't qualify for extra help unfortunately. I've been through all the options several times; all but one make me pay $40 or more for clozapine. So my decision is made for me.
