Is it bad that me and my sister share meds sometimes? Like if one of us runs out of something we help each other out. Except for seroquel, she's not on that. Also she is on Xanax instead of Valium. Like if I forget my meds at home, she'll give me a lithium and a Xanax. Is it bad to be switching it up sometimes? Just hope I'm not breaking some sort of law or something bad.

I think that you should ask a doctor before you do anything like that. Or at least look up if that's dangerous. I personally would never do it, I take Haldol and cannot risk it.

I'm already on lithium so that's fine. I've been on Xanax before too. But I guess I will ask my doctor.

The bottles say not to take unless it's prescribed to you- it's against the law.

Even with lithium, there is a time released and non-time released. You may not even realize it; it's hard to tell from the name.

Personally, I wouldn't do it.

It's wrong because most of these medications should only be used under the well trained eye and doctors supervision. With that said, I've had 2 friends give me scripts to try and help me and I've taken them. Not smart but probably a pretty human thing to do. If you are suffering bad enough and in enough pain, you will try anything. Try not to share and tell your doc if you're tempted. (((Hugs)))

Alright. I guess I won't share with her anymore. Thanks guys. We walked to Walgreens last night for my meds but she could only afford 2 of them. Now I have to wait until my step dad or mom gets paid. Bleh

It's also not a great idea to mix valium and xanax. Both are strong drugs from the same class.
