Is it possible to take a few days off (sick leave / annual leave) whilst you get things sorted out?

That would be better than having an accident and/or getting arrested ...

Hope you're able to get it all sorted out soon!

Sincerely,
Pfrog!

Thanks for this!

I soooo wish I could! But I'm a freelancer and don't have paid time off and just screwed them on Friday by calling in at the last minute. It isn't the first time I've done that at all, so I don't have a whole lot of trust built up with them. I seriously considered taking more time off, but have worked out with my mother and a friend to talk to me during both commutes.
I get the blood tests on Tuesday and see my PCP on Friday and have Tuesday and Thursday off this week. Hopefully if I need meds (i.e. for thyroid) they could be prescribed on Friday. Thanks for your suggestion, it really would be a best case scenario.

I only work 3 days a week and feel that I can't always do that, for one reason or another, mood, anxiety, energy, whatever. Sometimes I wish I were on disability, but I get paid more this way and I don't know if I really want that anyway, I'm not sure what I want or need right now. I just need the help from family and friends to get through my work commutes this week as I wait for blood tests and results.

I'm feeling depressed and will also need the help of my pdoc. I see her next Tuesday. I feel like I need a lot of help lately, just to get by (including tons of double espressos, just to get through work days) and I hate it.
