When manic or hypomanic I feel the incredible urge to move. To a different state. and buy a house. And take my kids and pets.

Anyone else?

And if so, where would you move. I kind want to move to Hawaii and bug Lefty.

I find him very amusing and droll. LOL

I live in Dallas, Texas, but would love to move home to Michigan or somewhere in the Northeast. Gayleggg you are so right, Austin is insanely expensive. I dont know how anyone can afford to live there without a roommate at least.

Maybe Colorado because i love to snowboard. I hear you can ski/snowboard over there from October to as late as June or July.

I'm pretty sure anything (except California and NY) is either the same cost or cheaper than where I live now. I can't imagine Colorado being more expensive than Ma$$achu$ett$.

Sure, come on out here and pull my trigger. Your kids and pets will love it. I just found out last night that we have the lowest property taxes in the entire nation. We can found an underground psychosexual support group (like Fight Club, but without all the blood) that could eventually destabilize the entire island of Oahu.

Yeah, I've always fantasized about Florida or Hawaii, but now that I know about Lefty, Hawaii has definitely won out.

I live in California and while I would like to move out of the area we currently live in (it's not the safest unfortunately) I would prefer to stay in California. My husband and I have discussed Hawaii a few times but I'm always sick when I visit there so it's probably not a good idea. California has the weather I'm looking for. My husbands parents own a Vinyard in Napa, Ca with a second house on it which our nephew lives in. When I get paranoid I always obsess about renting out our house and going to live next to my inlaws on their Vinyard. Just seems so safe and peaceful.

When paranoid I always feel like and sometimes have (especially when a bit younger) ran away. A few times it was a few hours away...a few times I ran to a different state. Is running away a bipolar thing?

Most of the time I just want to stay put though. I find comfort in routine.

I'd move to either somewhere in Europe, Belarus or maybe the Ukraine. I speak Russian so it'd be an easy transition. Or it the states I'd move to Washington. I enjoy the rain.

Seattle is great if you are a millionaire! I don't know where I could afford a home.

I have 2 dogs. Need a little bit of space. Maybe one of the nearby islands.

Many people with bipolar have been known to pick up and just take off when manic.....take off on a road trip or move to an entirely different state. One person stated they moved to a different country. When I'm in my "right mind I have to have routine ". But when people are manic there all over the map...just riding the wave.

I would love to move back to Tennessee but the cost of living is super high. Right now I'm stuck unhappy in Oklahoma. My older daughter is here so that helps a little. I don't have any family support here or friends. But I'm surviving....get it CocoSurviving lol
