So yeah, there's like a 99% chance that obamacare is going to get repealed and how they're going to set up insurance there's a high chance that I won't have insurance. So wtf am I supposed to do about meds? My meds without insurance cost over $2k a month. Where's that money coming from? Should I lower doses and start stocking up? I'm really at a loss of what to do, except kiss the whole world goodby in february when I'm off my meds and completely psychotic. At least I can go to planned parenthood for now to get my BC if i don't have insurance. Then there's the whole coming off opiates. Fun ****.

I guess vaping a lot of CBD is in order. There's studies that show that it actually helps with psychosis. There's all sorts of CBD products. The gummies are quite nice. Idk what law was messed with that I can get CBD now, but I'm not complaining.

CBD can be highly effective. I find sativa is good for depression and once you get use to it, you don't get "high" anymore. Just a hit or two. Indica can be useful if hypo is getting bad, you can get good rest and feel relaxed with indica. Just like meds, the side eff cts wear off in time. "Getting high" is one of them. Unless you smoke a ton in which case, do your thing.

I'm sorry you are in such a situation. We have until January till he takes the White House and he could be filibustered. Hopefully he will present an even better plan than Obamacare? I'm sorry you are so scared. (((Hugs)))

I don't get it. Obamacare sucked. I couldn't even afford it and haven't had health insurance the entire time he's been in office! Getting off opiates is a GOOD thing but why trade one drug for another like smoking weed? The weed today is super powerful. I could not drive on it let alone do anything else.

Nobody should drive after smoking weed nor should they drive while using certain psych meds.

CBD strains have no psychoactive ingredients and do not produce a high and are even safely and effectively used to treat severe epilepsy in children. Please do some more research into the benefits of CBD. Especially CBD gel capsules which prices will fortunately or hopefully come way down now that California has fully legalized and decriminalize its use.

Actually it made some very important changes. My kids could stay covered on our insurance until 26. My husband's pre-existing condition could be covered without threat of being dropped. No lifetime maximum on insurance. I could go on. Yes, it needed changes, but it guaranteed some very important safeguards that may very well be wiped out under a Trump presidency.

I'm not even smoking weed. It's CBD eliquid for my vape. NO THC.

Obamacare has been a godsend. my husband doesn't make much so we got a really good plan for $43 a month with a $500 a piece out of pocket max. I haven't paid for anything since april. You don't even know my health condition, so before you judge, maybe you should ask.

Thank you to those who are voicing their concerns. My son has a life threatening illness, ADHD and we believe bipolar. He's a mess and needs care. Under Obamacare my son could continue getting his life saving treatments until age 26. At age 19, he'll likely be cut off and he's a mess and no way employable in his current conditions and with his current needs. We can't afford any out of pocket money for care? My entire family has pre-exsisting conditions we were guaranteed coverage for. That can all be ripped from beneath us with the shake of a toupee. It's life and death for some people....we are right to be so deeply hurt.

I, too, have been covered under Obamacare for the last two years. It was a God send as I couldn't get insurance otherwise. I will go Medicare primary February 1, so I only have January to worry about, feel for all the people who can't get health insurance otherwise. Hopefully, he will replace it with something better.

I hear all of you, as I, too, am very frightened of losing the health care I FINALLY got (under Obamacare), after years of not having health care. Some of my meds are $1,000-plus out of pocket. Obviously not doable without health care benefits. This year is the first year I have been stable, and able to enjoy life some. Without my meds...pure terror.

I worry about this too. Do I start weaning off of the most effective but expensive meds I've been on or wait and see. I'm not hopeful at all with a GOP controlled government and worried about Medicare too.

So worried for all Americans on low income with mental and physical illnesses. Really hope Trump surprises you all and sets up a workable system that is affordable.

Didn't vote for the guy but definetly rooting for him now. Hopefully he can make America better. At least we won't be going to war with Russia.

That is a good point. From my understanding Hillary was about to start a conflict with Russia over the Syria issue.

I have Obamacare. With pre-existing conditions (under Obamacare you couldn't be refused) I CANNOT get insurance in the marketplace. I'll be left with nothing. I've literally been trying to avoid thinking about this, it's killing me so much. I wouldn't mind if they tweaked it, improved it, but repealing it, I'm screwed.

My mental health coverage throughout the years before Obamacare has sucked. Limited sessions with a therapist. Being denied coverage because of a pre-existing condition. Med costs through the roof. Often, I wouldn't get the help I'd need because I didn't have the money, or the insurance to do so. This is the first time in my life where I can actually take care of myself and get help for my illness because I'm actually covered by insurance.
And I'm afraid. I don't want to take a step back.
I really hope that I am proven wrong with my assumptions that Trump will eff our healthcare up. I hope that he makes it right.

WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW.

There IS already war with Russia. Right now it's a hybrid war........... and you are losing it hard. You just elected Russia prefered candidate......... and apparently many fall for Russian propaganda.

About how bad America is surrounding Russia with military bases.

Do you realize Russia is meddling in Syria? Or that it meddled in Montenegro recently? Or freaking UKRAINE?

By handing Europe and Middle East over to Russia, you are not preventing war. You are enabling it. At one point Putin and Trump are gonna cockfight over Europe's smouldering ruins.

(this is likely get deleted and I get warned... but I had to say it.)

I lose my primary insurance at the end of the year too massively inconvenient timeline. So I am and will be on medi Cal. Not liking the chances of that going away and being denied for preexisting conditions. I'm sure as hell going to stock pile as many meds as possible against the end of the year. Bye bye therapy and rights for sick people, poor people, women and those of color. And probably a few others I've yet to name. ****!

Trump is considering leaving parts of Obamacare intact. This may put some of you a little more at ease.

Thank you....this will hopefully give all those who need it a little hope. My husband has promised my son will be taken care of no matter what. I will sell an organ if needed. We will be the ok. I'm not a believer in prayer but I'm praying Trump does the right thing and that the neglected, old, sick and needy will be cared for.

I'm scared Medicaid will get taken away, I get it through SSI, and I'm afraid that will get taken away too. I don't know what I'll do if both get taken away, and frankly I'm scared of what Trump and our GOP controlled Congress will do to healthcare and public assistance. It's going to be a rough 4yrs. Hugs to anyone scared over losing health insurance and other benefits.

Thankfully I have a job that provides health insurance. The Affordable Care Act (I refuse to call it by its other name because that's just disrespectful in my opinion) has helped many people who wouldn't otherwise be insured. I too have a pre-existing condition and I'll be damned if he's gonna take away my ability to get affordable healthcare just because I was born with a disability. *rant over*
