These two Eminem songs keep playing in my mind. The first about revenge and the second about overcoming being hurt and letting go. Can't sleep right now and these lyric are flowing through my head. My mood is good so I am ok.

Anyone else get this happening to them at time with lyrics/peotry? Want to share them.

Bad Guy
...
I'm the nightmare you fell asleep in and woke up still in
I'm your karma closing in with each stroke of a pen
Perfect time to have some remorse to show for your sin
No, it's hopeless, I'm the denial that you're hopelessly in
...
I am your lack of a conscience
I'm the ringing in your ears
I'm the polyps on the back of your tonsils
Eating your vocal chords after your concerts
I'm your time that's almost up that you haven't acknowledged
Grab for some water but I'm that pill that's too jagged to swallow
....

Beautiful Pain
...
Cause they hurt you so bad, it's like they murdered your *****
And threw dirt on your casket, but you returned from the ashes
And that hurt that you have, you just converted to gasoline
And while you're burning the past, standing at inferno and chant

I'm standing in the flames
It's a beautiful kind of pain
Setting fire to yesterday
Find the light, find the light, find the light
...
So familiarize with what having to swallow this pill is like
It happens all the time, they take your heart and steal your life
And it's as though you feel you've died because you've been killed inside
But yet you're still alive which means you must survive
Although today you may weep because you're weak and
Everything seems so bleak and hopeless
The light that you're seeking, it begins to seep in
That's the only thing keepin' you from leapin' off the motherfreaking deep end
...
And I'm pulling for you to push through this feeling
And with a little time that should do the healin'
And by tomorrow you may even feel so good that you're willing
To forgive them even after all that s*** you been put through
This feeling of resilience is building and the flames are burning
Quick as fire would through this building, you're sealed in
But you're fireproof and retardant you withstood it
And as you climb up to the roof you're just chillin' and you look down
Cause you're so over them you could put the heel of your foot through the ceiling'

hope I haven't triggered anyone. I am just obsessed with these songs right now.

Thank you for sharing. I've been loving me some Eminem lately and some old school OG rap which speaks the truth of what lives in the ghetto are really like. They are raw and oftentimes filthy but their truth an honesty cannot be denied.

I have many songs floating through my mind, lyrics which reach into my inner workings and mesh with my conscious and subconscious mind. I have a poem I wish to share with you and but worry it might be offense to some so I will share it via PM. I think it might resonate with you. It gives me chills and I cry happy tears each time I read it.

I'm hank you for sharing what's going on it your head. I hope you got some good rest last night and still feel happy. (((Hugs)))
