She got me flowers and I got her an edible arrangement this year. We usually do dinner the day after vday because we don't like waiting 2+ hrs for a table at a restaurant.

Sadly, no. My husband wouldn't even think of getting me anything for Valentine's Day, I don't think. Years ago I made V-Day a special day...baked heart-shaped cakes and such, but it gets discouraging, never getting anything in return. I did take myself out to lunch and got my hair done last week to give myself a Valentine's gift.

Last night: We celebrated valentines day early and went out to eat at a place called Marcellos wine and cafe. You feel like you are seated in a wine cellar, very nice and cozy.
We were a bit early and did not have to wait that long to be seated.
Our servers name was christine, she was very friendly and talkative and steered us in the right direction food wise.I saw this wonderful looking fish being served as we were seated and asked her about it and she said it is the red fish and I will run to the back and see if they have any left.
We knew that we wanted the mussels sauteed in this fabulous tomato garlic sauce. Used the bread to sop up that glorious broth. Artichoke hearts on a bed of arugula. My red fish had a lovely mushroom caper butter sauce and fresh asparagus on it that was wonderful. Jeff had a seafood pasta dish that he loved and brought home half of it for tomorrow.
Our food was delicious.

This morning I woke up to flowers and a bottle of nice cab and a big card that I have yet to open.
I got him a card and need to come up with something else. Today is a really light day so I have no excuse to come up with something else.

I'm not sure exactly what will happen. This is our first Valentine's Day and he doesn't care for the holiday. We're going to see a movie then get dinner. Idk if he expects to exchange gifts but I baked him brownies (his favorite.)

A couple of weeks ago, two women in my apartment complex invited me for coffee in the complex cafe for valentines day. One is married, the other has a bf who smokes. I feel like im their charity project, poor unaluna, no valentine! Hey, maybe i have a secret nooner scheduled, fifty shades of beige! I was kinda insulted am i so wrong to feel that way?

I barely noticed valentines day this year. It seems to just be one of those holidays that comes and goes anymore for me.

My husband was a real trooper, but he was not too well and missed things. It was nice for the flowers and card. (and another teddy bear)

We made breakfast together, went out to a nature reserve to take pictures (we're both shutterbugs). He's making dinner tonight.

We still love each other a lot after 5 ½ years.

So I ended up getting him a nice card with some lottery tickets, powerball and scratch offs, and a bottle of fine whiskey wrapped up in a frilly bow.
He will like it.
WE need to eat some pork chops for dinner, had talked about going and getting some crawfish but it is raining and we spent $125.00 on dinner last night so.....

Just an average day for me. No boyfriend but my Mum did visit me which was nice. Other than that I spent it alone. Didn't bother me at all.

Just missing my husband. He used to get me sea salt caramels from the candy store in town. Last year my brother bought them for me. This year, well, I'm on low carb so I didn't want any candy. I did let myself eat the roll that came with my salad though. Yeah buddy. Happy v day to me.

My son has been making me valentine cards for a couple of weeks though (he loves all holidays) so I have a lot of those. That's all I need! Cards from the love of my life, my favorite little guy :-)

I didn't do anything specifically today, but yesterday I gave my boyfriend a homemade card and homemade raspberry jam filled chocolates that I made yesterday. Tomorrow, he's going to take me to lunch between my work shifts.

We ended up going to dwights for his crawfish boiled and my red fish grilled. I ended up eating a roll and a potato that he did not eat. with some mixed veggies.

My boyfriend picked me up and we went to a book store then to eat. After we saw the movie Hidden Figures. I have him brownies I made and a cute plaid blanket (he loves plaid!) and he got me yellow roses.

Neither of us are fans, but like Venus, we do love the cheap chocolate sales after...
