Currently I am on 600mg of lithium & 5mg of Abilify per day. I hear these two can be weight gainers; so I'm freaked out! Was taking Wellbutrin 450mg & Adderral 60mg, and colazapin .5mg. Once I was hospitalized they took all the above medicine away and switched me to the lithium and Abilify. How do either of those help treat my anxiety and/or depression. All the lithium and Abilify does is make me fat and depressed! I want my Wellbutrin, Xanax, & Adderrall back now! What is everyone else taking? I realize everyone process medication differently. I'm just curious what works for you that you think might be a good medication. I need to know what you're taking for a moodstabalizer, antidepressant, & for ADHD?
Thanks for your time and help! Hope you're having a wonderfully day

Saphris, Trintelix, and Ritalin, but I can't say they're working very well on the depression side.

Latuda, Lamictal, and Vyvanse. They seem to have my BP and comorbid ADHD pretty well under control.

hospitals sometimes take away things that just might make you feel good, especially the controlled substances. I don't know how you'd go about getting back on that cocktail. Sometimes, hospitals will put things in your records that would make going back on any controlled substances difficult (just telling you this so you know).
Do you need an antipsychotic? I apparently absolutely must take one, at a full dose, every single day, forever and ever (amen). I take Abilify, so its not terrible, but if you don't actually need an antipsychotic, I'd ask about something else. They're heavy artillery, even the "atypical" ones. Personally, I did OK on Ritalin+Abilify, but Adderall+Abilify was odd. I felt like my brain was being pulled in different directions. not fun. I hope you can get safe, effective treatment. |
