Ever since I started meds 1 year ago, I've found myself going in and out of "autodrive". Basically, I'll be doing a task without realizing that I'm doing it, or I'll be doing a task without realizing what's actually going on
This very thing just happened to me as I was driving to the pharmacy to pick up some emergency meds that I ran out of. I was driving without realizing I was actually driving. Then it hit me and I was about to shiit my pants because the entire time I was in lala land not even paying attention. Can anyone else relate? I feel like all these meds have fuked with me pretty badly |

Yes... it happens to me often. I've been on Wellbutrin and Lamictal for a few years, and it seems to only get worse. Only problem is that no other medications work for me, and so I just try to utilize brain-focusing exercises. I also have to basically talk to myself and remind myself to focus on the task at hand.... it's hard.

I used to have that. Or something like it: meds have helped me focus more.

I think it's fairly normal to space out while driving (which is scary). When we're doing everyday repetitive tasks, our brains just don't give it the same attention as something new.

that **** happens to me all the time when I'm driving. I've driven 45 minutes to T before and have little recollection of the drive there by the time I arrive. it has nothing to do with meds.

I used to have that happen more than it does now.
I find I am currently hyper-aware while on the road. My reflex times are much quicker, it seems. Be safe! ![]() WC Last edited by Wild Coyote; Dec 06, 2016 at 12:43 PM. |

I think that's just a function of familiarity with the route. I know going to my pharmacy I'm on autopilot. I go there so often it's crazy. I'm friends with all the staff at this point.
