So how many of you have nightmares? I have been having terrible nightmares, waking up in a cold sweat, crying and yelling at one point. I don't think it's my meds because nothing has changed. I'm scared at this point.

Hey there and welcome to the board! Ever since I started seroquel, on and off for 12 years, my dreams have been nuts. I often have lucid dreams where you know you're dreaming but I can't make myself wake up to stop the dreams, that are often scary. It's a frightening situation and when I finally wake up, I just lay there in shock.

Before I started Lamictal, I used to have numerous homicidal nightmares where I would brutally attack people and try to kill them. Lots of bloodshed.

I didn't attack any *specific* people. Sometimes they'd be family members, co-workers, or friends; other times they'd be random people I've never met. Usually I started the fight somehow, and the fight would involve me attacking with some kind of weapon... Lots and lots of gore.

I would always jolt out of bed with my heart pounding in my chest.

I'm not sure what it is with Lamictal, but I guess it magically stopped the evil dreams. I mean, somehow my anger and aggression in real life were translating into my dreams as well. I'm not sure why.

I have disturbing dreams. I wouldn't go so far as to call them nightmares but they do bother me and I tend to be upset all day by them. I take valerian root for sleep and that can give you vivid dreams.

I have nightmares once in awhile, but my main concern lately is night terrors. I wake up screaming because I see something scary in my sleep. I can never remember what it is that I saw. Sometimes I get up and run frantically because I'm so scared.

I have terrible, horrible violent nightmares, but cannot blame it on the meds. I've had nightmares since I was in my mid teens (long before I was on meds).

I have a stained glass lamp that is really colourful, and when the nightmares are bad I turn it on and it helps chase them away

I was given minipress for PTSD nightmares, it dropped my blood pressure to low.

Couple months ago while IP I was started on Tenex 2 mg it's been a huge help in decreasing my never ending PTSD nightmare. I only get it once a night instead of numerous times.
