Today I started on modafinil, which gave me lots of energy and focus and ideas for a million projects. I talked my therapist's face off. She's not worried yet, but wants to keep an eye on my mood (understandably).

When I'm running fast (not quite hypo, but getting there) I just feel like myself. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? My "normal" is fast. Hyperthymic. What's your normal?

Right now super low. Ever since 2 years ago when I had a bunch of ECT.

I can never tell if I'm manic or in a normal mood so I don't know anymore lol. I guess I'm naturally a more quiet and low energy person, so it's a red flag if I'm suddenly very talkative and interested in taking on many projects at once.

I can't always decipher my mood. I tend to stay more on the depressive side instead of the hypo side. Right now I'm feeling ok, considering where I was a week ago.

I wish I was sedate and measured like my identical twin, but I've always run a little fast and silly. It's embarrassing around the wrong people. But medicine will not change that. It's what my wife loves about me.
